Tell us your story. Who are you? When did you start playing? Why start to post now? Did you come from another game? Did you just not know there were forums? Or did we come across as jerks?

You mean there's actually new people around here? I thought ya'll were just the same crazies I joined the server with way back when CoH was released...(Crazy good, that is... Ya'll have kept me entertained for many a year with your wild antics. )

I played this game for at least two years before I even looked or registered on the forums. I'd always heard that there were forums, but I never really cared to look to find them until someone linked me to them. I wouldn't be surprised if any new players did the same.

Would I be considered new to the forums?

I think it would be a good idea to try to get more new folks on the forums. No one has been rude to me on the forums, but before I really got involved I was told by several that the "forum people" were pretentious or simply just got into the game too much. But the same things have been said about me personally by many. So either they are right and I fit right in, or they are all wrong

Hmmmmm, that's funny (as in weird). We do have our grumpy types, and some odd personalities, but our forums are actually quite good... pretty much every other MMO forum I have seen or participated in has stunk five ways from Sunday.

A recent review of older MMO's (forget which site it was) reviewed COH, and our population and forums were cited as one of the big pluses of the game. So yeah, weird.

I'm guessing those people must have had some bad encounters with some grumpy types, or something. Or they ran into Satanic Hamster. That would do it.

Heck, people compete to give the fastest answer on Player Questions, so that's a plus, too. There are some *facepalm* moments when repeat questions are given, but you're going to get that on any forums (I swear I want to kick each and every person that asks why Dual Pistols is not a Scrapper set).

As for whether you're new, I guess you're an old player, new poster? I think I signed up for the forums not long after getting the game, but I didn't really start posting much until a couple of years ago, so that's certainly not odd.

Anyway, good to see a new face.

I think in May maybe it will be my second year in the game. I never got involved in the forums much I think because the aforementioned "forum people" were never in my social clique in the game and I didn't know anyone here or anything like that. That has changed over time as many people in my SG were "forum people" and I figured that it was time to get with the times. Thanks for the welcome

Btw, does anyone know the code to make a titled link? I could not find it in FAQ or anything. Thanks in advance.
