Suspend ED for Undiversible powers.

My suggestion is short and sweet this time around;

Add an exception to Enhancement Diversification for powers that only allow one aspect to be enhanced.

We all know that ED was designed so people couldn't max out their power with just damage enhancements and ignore everything else, you can hit the softcap with just three SOs or two Lv50 IOs, and plus the Invention sets easily take care of being able to enhance multiple aspects with just one slot.

But what about those single-aspect powers like Health and Stamina? How can you diversify one aspect? The answer is, you can't. And players end up only getting three of their SO slots filled before it becomes wasteful to add any more. (Unless you want to save slots for other powers)

That's about it for the suggestion, let's have it, what do you think?

no. how you choose to slot your toon is your own thing. every power in the game is coded for it. maybe with the exception of temps and accolade powers. they may still be coded for it but we would never know because we can't enhance them.

The number of powers that can't be diversified is small enough that most people aren't going to wind up with piles of extra slots by only 3 slotting them. On top of that, with enough money, you can six slot health without worrying about diversification (2x Health, Numina Proc, Miracle Proc, Panacea Proc, Regenerative Tissue Proc) and I 4 slot Stamina constantly (4 pieces of Performance Shifter).

But with things like Hasten... I LIKE the idea of powers that can't use more than 3 slots. It makes it easier on the rest of my powers that I can have a full-power Hasten without six-slotting it.

Wasn't Hasten 6-slotted with Recharge Redux considered to be one of the "problems" addressed by ED? Or Fast Healing for /Regen 6-slotted with Healing?

The big 2 issues that were partly addressed would be 6 slotted hasten and stamina.

Yes, but also 6-slotted Stamina was par for the course.
When ED was implemented, Positron saw to it to have reduced End costs across the board.

This suggestion is almost as fun as the one I read a few years ago that would have the Devs maintaining an entire "ED-less" server just for us old-timers.

I really don't understand the fascination with wanting to return to a pre-ED setting in any form. Clearly ED was something that should have been in place since Day One for reasonable balance reasons. Fortunately that "lesson learned" has been in place for many years now. Sure it was technically a nerfing at the time, but one that we needed for the overall health of the game.

I guess people still lust after exploiting game systems that allow for silly amounts of over-poweredness.

Meaning that, if you could 6-slot it again, it would be BETTER than in pre-ED days, since everything else was adjusted.
