Well someone writes the story lore in this game. I doubt it writes itself.

Out of all the positions in this game, thats got to be the easiest one surely. Know its difficult to think of a good storyline, but compared to all that code and mission impossible hanging from the ceiling stuff the other devs do, it must be easy!

My alternate goal is to get in as a Tech Writer - the person who writes Paragon Studios' policies, documentation, work procedures, etc - more of an IT/business practices than gaming thing, but I've got almost 15 years' experience doing that.
Out of all the positions in this game, thats got to be the easiest one surely. Know its difficult to think of a good storyline, but compared to all that code and mission impossible hanging from the ceiling stuff the other devs do, it must be easy!

Content wise dev im purely talking about the story of the arc. Everything inside is down to other people and nothing to do with the story imo. Though i could be wrong

I'm half surprised as often as I go off about the game's design that I haven't been extended an offer. On the other hand... would they want somebody who carries a flamethrower?

Also they have two other writers designated 'World Designer' and that's John Hegner and Paul Gunn. At HeroCon, John was on the panel describing Praetoria.
And there's two others designated 'designer' but I'm not sure what they do... could be writing or powers or world...
And Matt's writing and designing 'end game' content.

And while City of Heroes has often made me question whether an actual EDITOR ever looked at the game's stories, let alone a professional writer, I do know they had and have writers on stuff for just this exact reason. One only hopes they're too busy working on Going Rogue to bother with City of Heroes and City of Villains at this time.
Samuel_Tow is the only poster that makes me want to punch him in the head more often when I'm agreeing with him than when I'm disagreeing with him.

Please, all of you who think writing is 'easy', write a 20 page short story that involves the Freedom Phalanx yet has NOTHING to do with any toon you've ever created
Do it in one week, and let us read it (if you wouldn't die of embarrassment)
If you can do it, by all means pursue writing as a career. If not, stop calling it 'easy'

We've been saving Paragon City for eight and a half years. It's time to do it one more time.

Here is the list of job openings at Paragon Studios:
Notice the listing for Lead Concept Artist. That's new. So, I checked out the personal websites of the current Concept Artists and saw that Nate Van Dy.ke (N8) says he *used to* work on CoH. So, I guess that job listing means that they're replacing him. (And that says something about the health of the studio if they're looking to replace rather than shrink staff -- they have two other Concept Artists: Carotello and David Nakayama.)
Also, alas, poor Horatio is no longer working for CoH. Bruce Harlick has moved to Zynga, the company that makes those evil time-sink social games for Facebook (e.g., Farmsville). That's probably why they hired Sean "Dr. Aeon" McCann (formerly Fearghas).
Also, Ron Freidman, one of the Art Animators is no longer with CoH, which probably means nothing to players since he didn't have a redname. But they did hire two new animators within the past few months. BAB has three minions now. I think that makes him level 12.
In the past 7 months, the following job listing were removed from their site, which, I assume means new hires:
