I think trading for respecs is overpowered.
I would like to see that you could trade them in for unockable costume pieces. For a possible example, trade in 1 for two pieces of Vanguard of your choice, trade 3 for Cim armor or the witch hat, trade 5 for unlocking a relevant weapon type of your choice.
The above would be my vote if they ever considered a trade option on those tokens that I think would be fair and not overpowered.
I still have free /respecs as rarely ever respec a character, but, with all my alts, I can live with a "mistake" that the character might have made earlier in their life.
So this kind of exchange would do nothing for me.
I Like CL's idea...only I'd want it to be the Sybil's costume or something equally smart and sassy. NEW unlockable content would be delicious!

I would like to be able to trade them for more costume slots. It really is the only thing that makes logical sense. Respecs aren't connected to the tailor in any way.
I also think CL's idea has merit.
I like Silas' idea of account wide storage. Also to have vaults in which I can place enhancements so that im not too dependent on my sg. But that has nothing to do with free tailor sessions
I like all the free specs and costume tokens I get on my account! 
I hafta say I "wish" we could use Vanguard Merits to roll for recipes and stuff! I have so many and nothing to do with them

If I had my way:
The Vault buildings would be account-wide (but side-separated), with tabs for Enhancements, Influence/Infamy and Salvage. That is to say, you have account-wide storage for your hero stuff and account-wide storage for your villain stuff. So if you're on one of your villains you can only see the stuff your villains put in and deposit/withdraw infamy, and ditto for heroes but with influence.
The devs have said they don't want recipe storage because apparently it would screw with the market. How it would screw with the market more than AE tickets, pvp IO droprates and keeping them unmerged is beyond me, but that's another soapbox.
For someone who has a lot of characters, I've never bothered with the storage Vaults as they currently are. Say I've got a few Platinums, a couple Magical Conspiracies, one or two Hami Goos lying around, I've either got to have one designated Salvage character who can only store like 30 pieces anyway or I can make a goddamned spreadsheet of who has what salvage.
Or I can think its a stupid, needlessly punitive and restrictive system and just dump the salvage on the market and buy it back when I need it.

I'd imagine they'd limit enhancement storage, probably keep it to 10. Salvage space I don't care much about. Let me store 2 billion influence and I'll be happy. Headache-free alt-pimpage is all I want.

Well I'd love to see some form or account wide storage like Silas is talking about. So I'll /sign that part.
Not sure about the "non-stupid respec system" though. There are things I'd like to see done and/or added to it but I think respec is fine as is for the most part.

t Energizing, I call it stupid because I feel it is stupid to have to completely redo your build if you want to swap out a single power or a few slots. I think it is stupid to only be able to take 10 enhancements out of a build per respec, given at 50 you can have well over 70 slotted. I think it is stupid that if you make a mistake somewhere you have to go back and redo all your slotting and power selections all the way back to right when you made the mistake.
It's an awkward, clumsy and stupid system.

Silas is right. The respec system is less than optimal.
It would be nice to use a respec to change only 1 power if that's what someone wanted to do. A caveat to this is the level at which the power will be switched may affect the use of the new power, though in a case like that someone could do a full respec or expand on the amount of partial respec. Anywhere from 1 to all powers editing would be nice.
I don't want to see a character being able to respec all their enhancements. I could accept doubling the amount of saved enhancements to 20. I don't think I could agree to even half of enhancements being saved and unused.
Account-wide storage would be fantastic as long as it was separated by faction (hero/villain) and no recipes. If someone likes a recipe, craft it and store it. There is no need or reason to store recipes that would be anything but to fluctuate the market.
Nice responses from all, my thanks. I used the Respec option to provoke thought and start the thread off.
Most of the options presented have their own merits. I was just thinking about what use the 80+ free tailor sessions I have accumulated could be traded for and since other things, like inspirations, can be combined into a different insp why not adjust the system to allow us to trade unneeded items for something more compelling?

No good there 0rgo. You already mastered the art of abusing WW's. I cannot imagine the carnage you could cause if you were allowed to wreak havoc without being in the game.

I will say that there should be more than one way to respec a toon. There should be a way to just replace a power, or just respec enhancements, or re-arrange certain powers.

I actually use my free tokens a lot. ^_^;; Though, I like the global-wide storage idea. Wouldn't even mind if it was only for the characters that share the same server as well.
