I would have made a thread for this, but I was too busy playing video games.

Tim Buckley is as unsexy and unappealing as the internet gets.

I'm not sure he has anything a normal person would call a redeeming quality.

His inability to handle satire is but one of his many flaws and the day his website stops updating there will be more people willing to pay for a new Ultima Online expansion then will notice.

Also I don't care for him.

It doesn't matter what you think of Tim Buckley or his webcomic(s). I still think that it's awesome to have a specific season of gamertastic celebration.

Buckley is not a nice person.

I don't really have any attachment to Ctrl + Alt + Del the webcomic, and I don't know anything about Buckley. I'm curious why the negative impression some seem to have...was it something specific? Can anyone enlighten me?

TV Tropes to the rescue!

They explain a number of the reasons why there's people who loathe the comic so much. In regards to Wintereenmas, check the list of examples for "Anvilicious," "Strawman Political," and "Strawman Has A Point."

So I gotta agree with Fredrik up there--I don't need a phony season just to play games! Especially with how Tim Buckley handled it.
