Con, truthfully yall were the ones who came in throwing hate to begin with if you will simply look at black barrier's post above on page 1. The second Soul Touch comes in the thread yall immediately hurl insults at him. Dahjee came in and as far as i could see was trying to defend Soul Touch, then yall began to hurl insults at him too. Not defending Dahjee as I have read through much of this thread and he hasnt always been in the right either.

But seriously, this is the reason pvp has such a bad rep, is when they see people like Black Barrier post in the pvp forums. Right off the bat in page 1! this thread was no longer good natured. I've seen some of Soul Touch's other posts and I know why yall are hating on him, but seriously grow up and get over it. Yall should have let this go a long time ago.

To be fair, because im not just raggin on you con or black barier, you should have let it go to Dahjee.

Just saying Mac, I thought that most of the people who post on these forums would be grown up and act mentally and emotionally mature. Not a bunch of whiney cut throat children. I may not post a lot but I have always kept track and read the forums and I have a lot of respect for you, but I had hoped you could be one of the mature people on these forums.

We're not the ones backing someone who claims an flying TPing AR/Dev Blaster can be competitive (and then saying "oh but I don't actually play one of those"). No one here's been whining, no one here's been cut-throat except for maybe a few players who seem to have it out for each other (that happens, y'know). As far as I can tell, this thread has been Dahjee coming in and saying "PvP is bad because you are all closed-minded, and you should all play this way," when "this way" has been tried and doesn't work well, at all. Maturity only goes so far in dealing with stupid people. If you can't understand that I'm sorry. Quite honestly I don't care about your opinion of me, nor anyone else's, so if you're trying to make me feel bad by insulting me, you should probably find a better use of your time (like coming up with alternative strategies that might actually work instead of theorycrafting when everyone else with experience is telling you it's been tried and doesn't work).

For the most part what you just said in that post is true about how Dahjee has been acting in this thread, but your are wrong when you say "Maturity only goes so far when dealing with stupid people." if they are "stupid" as you put it than you should know they are not going to change their opinions no matter how many times you yell and try to force it down there throats(I'm not saying that you yourself did that Mac but their are people here who seem to think that this will work) and that the best thing to do is to just, point out where they are wrong, and leave it at that. If you are afraid that the same person will keep posting wrong information for new pvpers who come into the forums looking for help, then you simply post links to where they were wrong b4 kindly guide the new comer and leave it at that. Yes, I know I can't believe it's that simple either.

As for me trying to make you feel bad by insulting you, I sincerely hope that is not how I came off as I am not trying to insult anyone in this thread. If I did I apologize, but to "find a better use of your time" as you put it, I'm trying to show everyone in this thread how ridiculous they are acting, in the vain hope that they can see it and maybe grow up a little.

Difficult to do when people lie on you. Especially when thy are very skilled at it. My apologies for the quotes... I figured it's better than using my own words... Most by default would believe Mac when accuses me of: I've done no such thing however. My only point regarding actual powers and PvP gameplay was in reference to how TP/Hover could out maneuver SS/SJ in zone PvP. I said: However, even though Mac agreed... He conviently twisted it into me stating TP/Hover would PwN others in Arena PvP... while others followed with a whopping 2 examples of tp/hover teams failing to win in arena. My only point regarding the matter was that tp/hover is quite viable in zone play... although I admit it seems odd that an "even skilled" team could be able to out maneuver yet still fail to get kills/win a match. Another question that will go unanswered I'm sure, *If only I had a dime for every time. :P I digress.

My other and overall point however... was again the same as yours CryoTech... which is that is that the attitude here in the PvP forums is too cliquish (*close minded* hurt too many feelings) atm to offer respect to those with a different view. If you consider that and the fact that people got so mad with me about stuff that's actually agreed on... you can see why this thread has been so fun for me.

I can only imagine two things I am supposed to believe if I am indeed wrong: Either they want me to believe that there are simply no new ideas in PvP atm... (even though the one's that know it all are also often the ones that express how un-fun PvP is atm) or they want me to accept that only certain people are allowed to introduce them here on the boards.

I entered a joke thread and I happened to call out the PvP Forum crew... label them... generalize them as all the same... and put them in a class of "bad" to watch them rage. Why? I enjoy PvP for one... and second, because education happens when you create an envirioment to learn... not when you simply expect people to listen. (think about it)

I should have been clearer as to what I meant in the previous post. I was referring to the part about you referring to them as close-minded. The only reason they would tell someone to reroll is because its already been done. Now I agree with you on a certain level that they should probably give more information as to why X build is a bad choice and why they should reroll, but I think for the most part this usually happens after the first few terse "Reroll to Y Build" posts.

Now I know they can't possibly know all the Ins, Outs, Odds, and Ends of any build that comes to this part of the forums when they tell them to reroll, but again they are telling the person to reroll beacuse

2. To save you the waisted time on trying it yourself when their is probably a less than 5% chance you will find something they havent that makes the build a new FotM.

There are different ways of doing the same thing. Min/Maxing or optimizing for 10-20 min matches may lead some to a very narrow choice of options considering power pools and power picks for no reason it seems. When you consider that in arena you get a shiny scoreboard saying "Im a Winner," and in Zone yo attain lolReP... it really boils down to drops/rewards, ya know for min/maxing purposes. Zone has both players and npcs to get drops from, and I don't have go anywhere or set up anything so it wins. YMMV

If one happens to get past the emotions of it all, then it becomes a matter of getting the most good drops as possible while zoning no? and when that mighty DPS is evaded by most decent players by Hib, Phase, lol TPing to a rooftop to laugh at you hop and waste buffs, (sorry I know I'm biased at this point heh) running to and hiding in base, or simply calling four of their friends to put you on the defensive...most log, ask for duel or arena match, some rage etc... nevermind I guess.

Perhaps months from now when folks maybe decide it's ok to bring AoE attack powers back into zone builds I'll believe it's all be done. Teleport spiking + Nukes + Heat Loss and all during an Assemble the Team promt 8 sec delay = oh so That's how you get more drops?! AoEs... who'd a thunk it. If there are threads talking about 5 versus 15 odds and which AoE CC + Attack combos are the best to wipe out the most the fastest I must of missed them. Wormhole/Blizzard/Blizzard/Glue Arrow/Rain of Arrows Perhaps? probably not. I'm not a numbers guy though. I'm sure it's just like PvE where its efficient to pew pew one target at a time... wait. The good news is that AoE CC/Distruption has ben discovered after a year of being a joke... and magically without any significant changes to the game, wow.

This is the part where I go all the way back to the beginning and requote my self stating that listing and/or simply discussing the greatest streghths, weaknesses and synergies of a set can often be more edcuational than telling someone to reroll their level 50, and use something like AR/Ice as an example...
