Anyone ever get sick and tired of fighting a player then get a 10 minute stun from a stupid Mistress? i am and i say we need to get rid of NPC in a "PvP" zone if i wanted too fight Arachnos ill do it outside of the "PvP" zone. no other MMO has NPCs in a PvP zone except this game.

The simple solution is to avoid the NPCs. Since they come in clumps, that usually isn't too hard, though most people will notice that the I13 changes (which didn't apply to NPCs in the zones) made them a bit more dangerous for someone who happens to wander into them during a fight.

Wardens and hero heavy are best pvp'ers in this game. This is what usually gets me killed lol.
I would agree with mac, just try to avoid it (althrough sometimes it can be troublesome due running mobs and TS).

Not only are they annoying, they're actually bugged too.

It took the devs like a year to fix one bug, where NPC's could mez you for like a minute straight. But they still haven't fixed the other: NPC mezzes have no suppression at all.

So if they keep hitting you with mezzes, you can be perma mezzed. I've had times where I got mezzed like 6 or 7 times in a row, not able to move at all the entire time. As soon as one expired, I'd be hit with another one. It's simply absurd how broken they are, and I'm 99% sure the devs have no idea the bug even exists.

That's not a bug, that's the way NPC mezzes work... and unfortunately I don't see them being able to do anything about that because the "mez only if not suppressed" flag would have to be added all NPCs or they'd have to make special versions of the NPCs for PvP zones.

Just because they're too lazy to do something doesn't mean it's not a bug. The NPC's are not working in line with the current mez system. This is clear, and obviously not intended. They may be too dumb to figure out how to change it, but that doesn't mean it's ok.

They're too dumb to fix placate for like 5 years too. But we can all admit that's a bug, right?

and calling the devs lazy and dumb is not the way to get them to look at anything either. it is not a bug. deal with it.

Perhaps it's best to PvE some before PvPing....

lol @ npcs

When all possibilities but the impossible have been exausted, the impossible, do in fact, become possible.

At this point, sadly, positive and negative things being sad warrant the same reaction in most cases.

Nothing, not even communication.

Bai now, more ill-logic on other threads pls.

Yeah we should totally be all nice and make long thought out post that go into minute detail with ways to improve stuff and what is wrong. Then they may put the changes in we want.

it just be a great idea just too get rid of them in general i shouldn't have to avoid them while trying too get away from other players also and the only reason they wont is because of the pillbox badges. im jsut hoping that Rouge will have a PvP only Zone not a PvPvE zone.

Really! When are we going to get a PvP zone where players can't attack each other too? The devs should make a new PvP zone with no NPCs and no PvP, just badges.

It's called Pocket D. Is that what you had in mind?

Unless you run a PbAoE of some sort that can cause aggro ex. shield and WP then you get the NPCs all over you. also the dang heavys hurt.. I hate getting the message static overload hits you for 1.3k. Don't you think that it is just a little OP, seeing how the blasters hp caps at 1.6k ?

NPC's are annoying, but I doubt they will ever get removed from PvP zones. Personally, I think 3 things will help the NPC issues most of us have.

1. Make the NPC's thin out as you move closer to the middle of the zone. Have a heavy concentration around the base, slightly more than they currently have, and a smaller number within a given distance from it. Around the mid point of the zone have none or close to no npcs (consisting of nothing more than minions). This would help the base camping issue and give us a NPC free area to engage in.

2. Fix the NPC mez. Bug or no bug it should be thought of as one. I know the last things on the devs "to do" list is PvP, but if they can take time to make a walk power I think they can squeeze some time in to make PvP zones more friendly to the PvE badgers (see what I did there).

3. Nerf heavies. There is no reason they should be so powerful. Does anyone remember when they nerfed the heavies awhile back and it turned out to be a bug? That was great. They should revert it back to that IMO.

Don't be a tard and stay out of melee range of the villain heavies. They've only got one decent ranged attack (compared to the hero heavies which have three plus that nasty autohit AoE hold) and their base accuracy sucks so it's really a non-issue unless you're one of those people who likes to run into the middle of an MM's pets and stand there until you die.

^^^

"the reason there are so many sarcastic pvpers is we already had a better version of pvp taken away from us to appease bad players. Back then we chuckled at how bad players came here and whined. If we knew that was the actual voice devs would listen to instead of informed, educated players we probably would have been bigger dicks back then." -ConFlict

It would be so nice if there was just a zone for pure pvp
