I don't understand why they pretend to fight in Pocket D when there are Arena terminals there where they can do it for real. I thought RPing existed to make up for mechanics in game that don't exist.
That thread made my head hurt. It's like they play an entirely different game than I have been for all these years. And I must say that I like mine far better.

We also have PvP, so need to do dice roll type fighting. Or in their case "nu huh/uh huh" type fighting. You can even PvP right in Pocket D, so no need to leave your RP area.
Now, I've always enjoyed teaming with Plucky's Malevolant because of how he plays in character. Ditto for Doug the Troll. Ditto for some others. And we all RP to a certain extent, especially if you have a well thought out back story, or theme, etc.

The "regulars" in Pocket D are there to play an entirely different game than the rest of us. They seem to have little interest in doing much of anything than staying in Pocket D to RP out playing kissy face and text fighting over who gets to play kissy face with whom.
Fortunately, they're pretty confined to Pocket D, usually even just to Blue Side.
The ERPers and the text fighters and the like are all the lunatic fringe of Virtue. They're not representative of the server population as a whole. You need to actively seek that sort of thing out to find it there. I've no interest in that sort of silliness, and consequently I don't see very much of it at all. It's not nearly as common as you might think.
MOST people on Virtue are fairly Plain Vanilla players. Some are RPers and some are not, but aside from the occasional IC comment in a team, it's very difficult to tell them apart in the course of normal game play.
