Well it looks like it's down again. I got mapserved and am now getting the "cannot connect to database" error when I try to reconnect.
The annoying part is I was about two attacks away from finishing the mission I was on so now I'll have to restart it. Oh well, more expees I guess.

When the Gala Even started, servers turned to sludge, then died
Gala event is continuing today, cuz of the death of yesterday, its getting stuff probably ramped up for it now. Server starts to sludge...

The fact is, the Gala is just too much awesome for any single server, so when Virtue went down, the awesome transferred and took down other servers with less awesome-handling capabilities.
