How do I report a truely offensive name?
send an in game petition with all the details and they will investigate and take any necessary action. you will recieve a generic email notifying you they have recieved your petition and will look into it etc and that they cant divulge the results to you. So unless you see the person getting genericed you may never know the actual results but I would guess that a name like that would definately get hit by the generic stick
Where are we going and Why am I in this Handbasket?
Just send in a petition via the support option on the main menu. Call it a EULA name violation hehe
For added laughs you can friend the person and watch as it gets genericed.
Couple things;first use the support button in game to file a petition.Which you can then report w/e.
Second;Don't post character names on the forums,that's a boo-boo.
Yea I wonder how that person made it long without getting nerfed.
from a character
/petition
select the condct button. Write in a title, such as 'offensive name'.
In the main text, put the character name you find offensive, as well as the server, and hit send.
You will get a form reply, stating that this will be looked into and any action taken is between NCSoft and the player whose character it is.
However, if you wish use the server (not global) /friend <charactername> on the offensive character. If the character name gets chnaged it will get chnaged on your friends list.
Unlike global friends, there is no way of determining if someone has you on their server friend list, so dont' worry about the person finding out who petitioned them and harassing you.
@Catwhoorg "Rule of Three - Finale" Arc# 1984
@Mr Falkland Islands"A Nation Goes Rogue" Arc# 2369 "Toasters and Pop Tarts" Arc#116617
Thank you.
I also reported my own post here, since it both has an offensive name and I named the offending character in a public post.

Nothing wrong with that. Capitals might make parts of it stick out...but nothing truly wrong with that name. |
What they did was very blatent, and tossing in the extra letters in lower case to get past the filter does not make it alright.
If it was spaced and capitalized in that manner, I would not have even blinked.

There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.
My advice to all those trying to evade the naming policy and "get away with something" is don't.
The gm's deal with this every day. You may have come up with something new, but after 7 years it or something similar has probably already been attempted. Just follow the rules.

If you are using Latin in your post you are probably trolling

Nothing to see here anymore. I just checked and the name has been well and truly smacked down. It can't be found any longer through various slash commands.

As an aside, I had a former SG-mate and former IRL brother-in-arms who used to pull this (inappropriate character names, battle cries, in-game behavior) all the time. I will never understand his reasoning.

OP, what was so offensive about the name? Or am I far too desensitized to understand anymore? lol
