PvP ios not droppin in Warburg

My bud and I have had blasters going at against each other in Warburg and PvPIOs seem to not drop about 300 kills between the two of us so far.

Any ideas or is it just bad luck

While there's a 1:something *chance* for one to drop, that doesn't mean that one WILL drop with that many kills. Sounds like (a) bad luck and (b) potentially the timer involved. (just killing someone, letting them rez, killing them, etc. won't do anything - 5 minute timer.) See also this thread.

yea i mean that we got that much rep were working on badges for pvp and sg pvp. Im only speaking of the rep kills even though we already got the sg badge so clearly theres a lot more kills going but were trying for the 400 rep one also now.

Are you familiar with statistics. Something that happens 90% of the time may never happen at all, in a given data set. Similarly, something that happens once every hundred years could happen five times in one week. It's possible, just highly unlikely.

In game terms, I did two three mission story arcs and got five purples. It was wonderful. I haven't seen a purple in a month of playing since then, and I never saw any before that.

RNG means Random Number Gods (or Random Number Generator if you want to be politically correct) sometimes their eyes turn from you and the sacrifice of a die is required to restore favor. Role playing gamers (or at least ones who play D&D) sacrifice a twenty sided die (d20) whereas 40k players like myself prefer to sacrifice a six-sided die (d6).

Bad luck for you.
I got one 2 days ago. So, unless there was a stealth nerf in yesterday's patch.....

P.S. I got it in Warburg.

Thank you. I felt really old for a few minutes there.

Wusses. The gods only favor those willing to sacrifice cast-iron d100s.

Did you get it fighting someone from the same faction?

My brother spent three nights straight farming PvP IOs with two heroes. Not a single drop.

He spent two nights before that with a hero and villain and received... we'll call it "many."

If you had a 99.99% chance per game of winning a gambling game, but you had to play forever you will eventually lose all your money.

D100s are the work of He Who Brings Ones as demonstrated by the fact that they are not uniformly random. Sacrificing one will not appease the RNGs but instead drive you further into darkness.

All those 23-year-olds out there are going to be upset you're calling them "really old"

I usually refer to a pair of d10s, one marked 0-9, the other marked 00-90, as a d100, though I do own a Zocchihedron. I somehow doubt that a matched pair of d10s would be displasing to the gods.

This is called Gambler's Ruin, and is used in biology as well.

Back to the OP, has anyone actually gotten a PvP drop in Warburg from defeating a fellow player of the same faction?

I remember seeing somewhere that a hero will not get a drop from defeating a hero and the same for villains.

I don't remember where I saw it, i just remember that I did.

Yes. It has happened to me and 2 of my friends Bill. We were all playing villians and it took several hours to get just one to drop. This was over six months ago and there were others in zone at the time but I am not sure if any were blueside. I havent tried to get any PVP enh since.

Well once we both it 300 rep we decided to stop, He went and got a brute i stayed on blaster and we found a roof in rv to duel,

Well the 4th rep kill i got a glad/jav/4 and he got about 25 min later a panacea heal after days of blaster on blaster with over 600 kills for rep and countless others no drops then in about one hour we each got one.

I would have to say that the hero vs hero or vill vs villin arena or warburg isnt dropping. I have gotten others saying the same thing in game chat and email. If your gonna try to farm em by bashing in each others head use a vill and a hero not 2 of each.

I think could be the bad luck but to manyothers have noted the same thing now.

at least my blaster was better than his lol you know who you are

Hi,

have just completed the 400 rep requirements for Disruptor/Longbow Warden 2 this morning.

I dual boxed it on my Hero defeating Villians in Bloody Bay. It took two long days and with the decay rate I needed 406 defeats to register the 400 for the badges.

I received the following rewards:

defeat number 38 - recipe Shield wall +3% (teleport) +3%(all) lvl 50 - sold 1.4 billion inf ( heheh an early christmas prezzie!)
defeat number 63 - recipe Gladiators armour rech/res lvl 50 - sold 70 million inf
defeat number 216 - Panacea end/rech lvl 50 - sold 200 million inf
defeat number 345 - Shield wall end/rech - sold 53 million inf

rare salvage - chronal skip x 1 - used to craft a ragnarok
other salvage - yellow and white x 9

inspiration - small sturdy x 1 (had other slots open so only one dropped)

So add in the badges and it was a very lucrative exercise and I had no problems with drop rate.

Hero lvl 50 and all villians lvl 15 all at lvl 25 in the zone.

I know the exact figures only because I was keeping a tally of the toons to ensure I was rotating them properly to avoid the timer issues.

Cheers
