This server is dead!

Champion i heard is the 4th most populated server. But i have noticed many regulars have moved elsewhere and some have brought friends from other servers here.

The others are correct, you need to be open minded about what type of team you are looking for and get in with the regular players.

UC your teams are all hammer teams and if he is not one of your regulars, that really doesnt help the OP (that message is meant for all sg's and not meant as a slight against UC, he is a very good sg leader).

Many large sg's run teams everyday and most of the day. Use the other channels such as Request. If you stand in Atlas you will see the same sg's represented, talk to them, ask them if they would like to run anything.

ALL-OUT-WAR almost always has a few people on and run many teams. We invite new people constantly to the teams no matter how many members are on, that's how we find new members, by observing who has a good attitude and is fun to team with.

BTW you better listen to my advice, i am one of those dreaded....CANADIANS!

Oh for sure mate, I couldn't agree more. The people are almost exactly the same but the cultures of the many different people are not.
You don't eat Vegemite, we wouldn't make our wives cover themselves from head to toe if we had company over, we don't eat whale and we certainly don't watch Ice Hockey etc, etc.
I believe, thats the difference between the servers, the culture.
Idk if culture is the right word but I can't think of something thats more accurate atm, too tired.

Having missed out on a few years of content,
And returning home to Champion,
The server really doesn't seem dead,
Especially now that I have access to BMT when I never did before.

My supergroup pretty much dried out in those years,
But BMT kind of feels like a SG to me to be honest.

I haven't abandoned my old skeleton of a group yet,
Because I don't really feel like I NEED to.

That alone makes me seem to think that the server is far from dead.

Maybe there was a population boom in the time that I missed,
And that has skewed my perceptions,
Maybe I like soloing enough that I don't notice.

Either way, I have difficulty agreeing that my server is dieing.

((Unrelatedly, I keep hearing good things about HoJ and their members. I'd love to team with some of y'all some time and see what all of the fuss is about. ;-) ))

Personally I have seen a lot of new players join this sever in the past few months, myself being one of them.

Looks like a good sg is needed to keep me going in this server, seems like most people that team with regulars or sg are happy with the state of the server. Me being an old player and a pvper back in the day, most of my sg and friends have moved on. Id like to look into HoJ i remember them pvping with us sg vs sg back in the day and i hear nothing but good things about them. Maybe they will give me a look? Ill try to contact one of there leaders see whats the deal.

I have to agree, Patriot-Man is on alot and is always great to talk to. Undead Cyborg is a great guy to team with so i hope you get into Hammers of Justice. If you PvP, UC can help you there as well. Welcome to Champion server, if you need a teammate i am on alot and easy to find.

Some of my alts are Divine Witch, Divine Stormbringer, D1V1N3 0N3, Praetorian Plague, Lunatik Frenzy and R4P4 (Rapa).

If you like to do TF's get on BMT but i recommend you try to get on UHB channel if you can, lots of great players are on that channel.

While I agree the server is not dead, I have to say it isn't all that lively, (Particularly redside.)

It's not that lively outside of social groups. Seriously, I only got onto BMT recently. For those without BMT who do not enter the forums, where is the action? Many of those in the long-established social circles can become comfortable with those folks, form teams with ease. Because they have those connections.

But odd as it seams, the best way to build a server community is look outside the established community, pick up the odd stranger with the 'lft!' flag. Spare slot? Search the team finder window before BMT. -And talk with them, to them, not just your buds. I know it's a bit 'riskier,' as this goes into the PuG territory, but it does help those joining up or starting up to find company and start to get a feel of who plays around here...and you wouldn't believe how far a little civility and kindness from a stranger go to making a player's time more fun, and keeping them involved in a server.
