Watching a lot of movies on TV back when I was a kid, I was treated to the cinema magic of Ray Harryhausen.
Jason and the Argonauts
Golden Voyage of Sinbad
7Th Voyage of Sinbad
And of course Clash of the Titans
These are not great movies, with great dialogue. But they filled my young imagination with awe and wonder.
