BUG: TFs are nerfed to -1 with new patch

Saw this problem last night on LRSF. All mobs were 49 except for the Heroes, who spawned at their correct levels. Still dinged 50 with my Crab Spider though Thanks to Cath and crew, BTW!

Well, I watch the Test server forums pretty regularly and hadn't seen anything even before it went live, but since Reiska mentioned it being posted on the forums I was wanting to see where it was since I'd obviously missed it.

Of course, if it was posted between Thursday and Monday I wouldn't have seen it since I was without computer access.


If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

I'm not sure the "exploit" is that great. At least, running through "Light and Darkness" arc and completing it, didn't wake any desire to run through other arcs for merits. Of course you can run through arcs faster, but I don't think it will be order of magnitude faster.

Oro FB mishes are screwed.

I ran a level 50 arc last night with the 'enemies buffed' and 'no travel powers' restrictions. All spawns were level one, except GW who was level 40...killed her with nothing more than [Build Up]+[Hot Feet]+[Burn].

Completed the arc but didnt get the badges. Sent a petition about it and also noted that the spawn levels were low. Support response said the game logs didnt even show that I'd placed the restrictions. However, I know I did. Walked across the RWZ.

And I'm close to joining the 600 Club. This sucks

I've done QA, professionally, personally, and can vouchsafe that this is, indeed, a crap *** QA job or QA was over-ruled by management. Test server doesn't enter into it, internal QA is what is being blamed, IMO.

Edit: Holy moly what you don't know about QA in video games could fill a book, my bad, sorry to pile on.

I so wish that someone had had the foresight to record the panel on The Life of A Bug.

Anyone with QA experience would find the Q&A section at the end interesting to say the least.

And that's all I will say about it.

I'm actually mistaken there, looking more carefully - the post in the Test Server forum thread (a reply to the redname post with the patchnotes for the 10/26 patch) that first mentioned the Ouro bugs was made the night of the 28th.

Though, there's still a bit of confusion as to why they'd push a patch live so hurriedly (having it on the public test server for less than 48 hours of uptime?)

So, if ouro arcs are any indications, "-1" bug wasn't fixed with new patch.

If they are relying 100% on players to test the patches, they're doing something wrong. Since the patch notes explicitly state that enemy levels in TF's were one of the items being affected, it's pretty sloppy to not have tested Ouroboros since that's a massive block of content and it uses the 'TF system'.

As I said earlier, part of it was on Test the previous week, and part of it hit Test earlier this week.

I think it was pushed live so quickly since some of it was fixes to the Halloween event and they wanted to get those out fast.

As per many above, yes it's still bugged. At least it's "only" -1, meaning a visit to the mission difficulty change contact can bring it back using +1. Means I don't have all greys to fight.

However, the above does state that the named bad guys spawn at the proper level, meaning, going to +1 level makes them way harder for me. But, heck, at least I can still play. Hoping they fix this next week...

As it was reported in different threads, there is AV/EB level bug with different settings. Apparently AV/EB level = mission_level + 2*X, where X is relative level settings. So, setting it at +1 will spawn +2 AV, at +2 it will be +4 AV, etc.

This blows major chunks. LGTF tonight, 49 enemies. Tf´s were already easymode after being set to +0.

Would this be the Microsoft QA guys from E3 about 3 years ago? Because that guy had it right, as anyone with any real paid experience would know. And that's all I will say about it.

The truly sad part about this bug is that they disconnected TFs from the team difficulty slider because people were running Master Of.... runs on -1. So now, the ONLY OPTION is at -1.

If this is how the system runs, please just make the difficulty slider apply again, so those of us that like a little bit of a challenge in our TFs can get it. Anybody doing a Master Of run the last few days has had the "exploit" difficulty level hard-coded in, so what's the point?

AVs/Heroes on STF and RSF aren't affected by -1 this time around, but ITF, Khan and BSF are

I ran a +2 all shield and 1 kin ITF. We destroyed it. It's a shame I can't do that again.

At least the regular missions work with the new difficulty settings.

Well, most of the AV's in the higher end SF/TF's are spawning at their correct level, it's everything else that's -1.

I wish they would fix it. I don't like level 49 drops (when I do get a drop).
