Silas Plays Support And So Can You!
Glad you like 'em Aura_Familia
Update: Am currently working on a melee guide. Shock horror! It won't be powerset specific like the guides so far, it's a guide on playing melee on teams.
How to not suck, basically. How to not do all the stuff that makes me hate on melee as a whole
Should be interesting, to say the least.
The Melee Teaming Guide for Melee Mans
I really, really love your guides. They give me a chuckle and then make me actually think about what I want on my corruptors (and I am new to corruptors! Used to tend towards Defenders and VEATs all the time...). I don't always agree with you, but they're still a great read.
My current Corruptor, a DP/TA, makes me cackle with glee already and I'm not even in the level 20 range yet. When I'm finally able to light things on fire violently, my cackles will echo across the server, much like they did I read your SG's message of the day
Talen_Lee: Taking absorb pain is like branding 'H' on your forehead. Which stands for 'Failure'
Scarf_Girl: ever since I six slotted my Rp with cyber/emo Hami-O enhancements they haven't been able to touch me
This is the absolute best resource for anyone who plays support.
Thanks
It's pretty bad though, I've been meaning to go back over all the guides and update them, clean them up and flesh them out a little more.
The intention to do so is as far as I've gotten so far
First priority is the melee teaming guide though, so I can really put the final nail in the lolmelee coffin, heh.

Silas, you've missed out on one AT/Powerset... Huntsman Build for Arachnos Soldier. Excellent AoE Debuffs/Damage, team support, and if you just splash Bane Training for Stealth/Surveillance/Armor, there's no need to worry about pokey pets tagging along. I feel that they are different enough from Crabs that ya may wanna give them a go.
Otherwise, hilarious guides, well done, and well written.

Once I'm done with my current projects I'll have to give it another look Cheers for the feedback, glad you liked the guides.

Hey Silas, not sure if you have leveled up a Fire/Trick Arrow Corr, but it would be helpful if you have a build that you could post that takes into account inherent fitness
Lvl 50's: Twilight Projections-Dark/Psychic Defender- Justice,
Mad-Scientist -Bot/Poison MM- Freedom,
Ogun Ajala -Fire/Shield Scrapper - Virtue,
Make You Smile -Thugs/Dark - Virtue
Kyuji Warrior - Fire/Trick Arrow Corruptor - Virtue
This is one of the best things that I have ever read on these forums.
Informative and had me laughing insanely hard. You win cookies.
Listen to Survival Guide. Because you should!

Zombeh_Defender, wat. That doesn't make sense, Defenders don't have massive damage or Fire Blast >.>
AzureHaze, I've actually made a Fire/TA Corr, he's only about 19 or so. It's a currently shelved project. Not put together a build for him yet, but if you put something together in Mids and PM me I'd be happy to look over it and give you some pointers.
LoveLife, Cheers, glad you enjoyed them

Updated the Rad guide with my current build, Thermal guide too. Will be updating my Fort build too in the next couple days.

What Alpha did you go with on your Fire/Dark? Just got mine to 50 and I'm torn between Cardiac and Spiritual.

I've not actually done any Incarnate stuff on my Fire/Dark yet, but in all likelihood go Cardiac. He's got Dark Consumption for endurance, but more general end redux is good and I've got global recharge out the *** anyway.
Since Fire/Dark doesn't really have any super long recharging powers, going Spiritual would only take fractions of a second/a second or so off my powers I want back ASAP. Since its not a noticeable difference whereas Cardiac would be, Cardiac ftw.
I guess it depends how much global recharge you've got. If you've got like 50% or so, you might get more benefit from going Spiritual. If you're a crazy recharge ***** like me, Cardiac might be better.
I've also checked the heal values for Spiritual and its really not worth it, mainly since TG is already a massive heal and the heal from the fluffy isn't significant enough to count.

I almost considered Spiritual on my Fire/Rad corr, but seeing as AM & Hasten are both already perma, there didn't seem much point.
Going cardiac means you don't have to pick up an end recovery tool and can fully commit to Scorp Shield & be softcapped to SM/L with ease if you so choose.

Deus, Yeah I went Cardiac on my Fire/Rad too. Same deal, no really long recharge powers except EMP which is up whenever I want it already. Going Cardiac lets me run the Leadership pool, mostly Maneuvers for defense buffing but Assault ain't bad to stack with AM.
Obitus, Pretty much everything in Fire + Cardiac = fantastic, since pretty much my only complaint with Fire is that it can be end heavy.
Demobot, Glad to help. Even gladder the Fire/Dark is coming along nicely, but more importantly, what's your next Corr project?

Yeah, looking forward to this Melee guide! Is it on a particular powerset?

Deus, Good man, Fire/Colds are made of win and awesome. If I didn't love Sleet+Ice Storm+Blizzard so ******* much I'd have rerolled my Cold into Fire/ ages ago.
re: the melee guide (Codename: IWIIRMH*), I actually wrote the meat of it mooooooonths ago, I've just been so busy with work I've not had time to work it over and refine it. I've got holidays for the next 2 weeks though so hopefully I'll be able to finish the damn thing up, heh.
It's more a general melee guide than a specific set, tactics and playstyle kind of thing. I mean, I'll have stuff up for my particular two melee dudes, my SS/Fire Brute and KM/SD Scrapper but its not powerset specific.
Demo, Well, both Cold and Widows/Forts are hella good and also sweet, so I am a supporter of both ideas. Aside from the fact that your Widow is already 33, it might also be a better entry into buffing characters since all your team buffing is done by just being there.
That said, Cold doesn't have that much buffing to do so I wouldn't let that deter you. Kin has to rebuff way more and Therm has Forge/Thaw as well. Toss out shields every 3-4 minutes, spend the rest of the time bringing the pain. I'm sure you'd do great on a Cold
