Forums: What's Up?
Its a day and time thing for me. Just sometimes that happens. What I do is stop the page that is hanging, and load again. That usually works.

Not happening to me. Where do you live and who's your ISP?
<-- FL and Comcast.

For me it's consistent, night and day. It's been this way for a few weeks. I have Midcontinent in SD.
Not happening for me on this computer, but on the other computer, yes.
Both are low-end rigs on the same network. (posting from work)
Actually yes, it has happened quite a bit, but it's not limited to these forums, everything slows down like I'm hitting a bottleneck. Lasts about 2 minutes or so, then clears up. No discernible pattern.
GA here, Bellsouth DSL. Most of what I do online seems to run through ATT.net at some point, which has been a chokepoint in the past for particular sites. I've run traces before.
Im having this issue too.
About one post in 30 for me.
Indiana - Comcast
Same here. I'm with Shaw Cable in central Alberta.
Is this a trick question?
Samuel_Tow is the only poster that makes me want to punch him in the head more often when I'm agreeing with him than when I'm disagreeing with him.

Exactly like the old forums. A lot of the time they're fast and responsive, but sometimes EVERYTHING stops loading and page loads just hang around for a couple of minutes, or until they time out. In the meantime, I can still load other sites just fine, but I have to wait for the forums to wake up. Exactly like the old forums, indeed. So what did the changeover fix, then?

Pardon the bump, but now there's a new issue, and I'm wondering if it's just a problem for me. Well, I say "now", but this has been going on for a week at least.
Sometimes when I click something, I just get the "Waiting for boards.cityofheroes.com" message, and nothing ever happens. Not even a time-out, it'll sit there for HOURS. Yes, literally, when it first started I opened a new tab to TVTropes to wait it out, and five hours later I realized that one of my many tabs was still the forums, waiting eternally and saying the same thing. The little meter in the right-hand corner never even tries to fill.
Clicking the main forum page in my Bookmarks opens it up again usually, but not always, sometime I have to navigate somewhere else then come back. Using the Forum Jump "feature" has about a 75% chance of hanging everything up, and trying to go to the next page in a thread a 25% chance. I get about 10 minutes of reading in max (if it's a particularly interesting thread) before I have to start over again from the beginning. Highly irritating.
Everything else online is fine, I don't even have the troubles now that I did when I posted her the first time. No bottlenecks, just THESE forums acting up. However, it could be my issue alone.
Not only your issue, it happens to me as well. Very irritating.
Reminds me of playing coh/v for the past several days..click the power and nothing happens...then the game seems to catch up and your powers fire off.Same thing though lag time..in Ohio I use roadrunner.
Has anyone else noticed the forums acting laggy and inconsistent lately or is it just me? I swear about 2 minutes out of 10, the forums are snappy and quick, and the other 8 minutes out of ten, I have to click... and wait... and click... and wait.... and often times the pages NEVER load and they time out.
So I've gotten in the habit of clicking and waiting about 3 seconds, then if it doesn't actually start to load the page, I click again. It's still frustrating.
Anyone else, experiencing this, or could this just be my ISP? I don't think it is because other sites load just fine.
