It makes much more sense to be a Dom specific set as they already have had Electric Assault for a while now. If Controllers get to keep Illusion all to themselves while taking our Plant set then it's only fair that we get a new set to keep to ourselves.

i would be amazed and hostile if they didnt. seems these days sets get ported to all relevant ats. with the notable exception of stalkers and shields, beyond that ranged powers go to ranged characters, buffs tend to go to buffers,et cetera, and older sets seem to being proliferated to that point as well.

I remember the good old days when all you had to do to get up to date game inforamtion was to log onto the CoX websites.

Now you need, a forum account, twitter, and facebook if you want to keep up.

Who do I have to *&^% around here to get more Targeted AoE recipes added?

Actually, you don't - just check out the forum - everything ends up here

Yes it ends up here but I liked it better when it originated here.

Well, for someone sitting in the audience of a presentation at Hero Con, it was maybe a little easier to send instant tweets via a cellphone, rather than make dozens of posts via a laptop - and from Twitter, people relayed it here - so we were still getting quotes and info here on forum before the devs had even finished speaking at Hero Con - and I think that's pretty fast

I'm not speaking specifically about Hero Con news. This trend has been happening for quite some time before.

Hello, 9-1-1 Emergency, I'm going to need a Whaaaaambulance as soon as possible on the corner of trivial nitpick street and entitled fanboy avenue!

I tease.

Get with the program? Who said I don't have accounts to those websites? I'm simply making a statement based on observations from the past few months. It's also a lot easier to get information from the CoX website than to have to leap from facebook to twitter to coh, back to twitter, then to another thread.

Does the future of mass communication also require that we all be un-opinionated lemmings?

YAY electric control!

Hopefully it'll focus suitably well on End Drain as a secondary form of control.

RAMPANT SPECULATION TIME!

3) Electrifying Fences -- AoE, Minor DoT, Moderate Recharge, Immobilize, -Endurance, Chance -Recovery, -Knockback/Knockup
4) Short Circuit -- PBAoE, Moderate DoT, Slow Recharge, -Endurance, -Recovery
5) Static Field -- PBAoE Toggle, Minor Damage, Slow Recharge, -Endurance, -ToHit, -Speed, Chance Sleep
<Kind of a Hotfeet Variant. You energize the area immediately around you, constantly shocking any mobs neaby. the -tohit and -speed is from the shocks causing them to spasm wildly.>
6) Electrostatic Discharge -- Ground Target AoE, Very Long Recharge, Disorient, Knockdown, Self Teleport
<Uses Lightning Rod animation... cause I wants it.>
7) Tesla Field -- AOE, Very Long Recharge, Hold, -Endurance, -Recovery
8) Energy Cascade -- AoE, Damage Special, Long Recharge, -Endruance Special, Ally +Endurance Special
<Technical description; Spawns a pseudo-pet for each foe within the radius. Each pet fires off a pbaoe Damage/End drain/Ally +end power then despawns. Net result is that vs a single target you drain a little end and deal a little damage, but vs multiple targets you deal a fair share of damage and drain a significant amount of end.>
9) Voltaic Construct -- Summon, Very Long Recharge
<An actual targetable pet akin to other controller tier 9s, uses the Cap Gremlin model people love so much. Has Charged Brawl, Havoc Punch, Lightning Strike and summons Voltaic Sentinel. Alternately you could make it summon 2 gremlins, each with Charged Brawl and Havoc Punch, or 3 gremlins each with only Charged Brawl.>

You can keep that future. I don't care for it at all.

Mother Mayhem finds your thoughts to be incompatible with the goals of a harmonious existence in Praetoria - please report to Chimera for retraining.

First off I love the avatar, I have a 9 month old Shiba myself.

Secondly, I think Electricity has the best animations and sound in game. It would be interesting to see how an Electric control set would play.

I have a Kin/Elec defender and found that I didn't like electricity as much as I thought. The damage was low and the endurance drain wasn't very useful. It seems that badguys don't need endurance to attack. I would roll a Electric Kintroller; I assume an electric controller would do much better damage than an electric defender.

Heh, Thanks. I don't own a Shiba myself (or any dog currently for that matter ) I just think they're adorable.

The issue with Mobs and Endurance is that they break the rules. If they have -ANY- endurance at all they can still attack, apparently regardless of if they actually had enough to USE that attack.

The only way to shut them down is complete 100% endurance removal, and even then you need -recovery also, because if they regain even a single tick of end they can start attacking again.

Of course, you do realize that if they do that, they'll later make it so pet attacks build Domination...just in time for the next round of Powerset Proliferation. After all, we need something to pair Storm Summoning with other than Ice Control.

The trick is you have to kill their end regeneration too, so it's best to finish off with Short Circuit when you've got them fully sapped. (10 seconds guaranteed no regeneration). It seems that all it takes is the tiniest sliver of end and they can attack, though.

I love electricity sets.

Stop arguing every, single, detail untill everyone admits your right. Putting winks at the end of your posts doesn't make it any less tiresome.

But don't save Short Circuit for last; my kin/elec defender takes out like half their endurance with it, and it goes down faster when they don't recover! I've sapped Dr. Vazhilok to helplessness with it before.

so. let me get this straight. Nearly 4 months after I make this thread, you log in and openly troll another member of a forum?

okay. I'm not going to say that talk about Electrical Control is pointless. I am going to say that yanking threads that are buried in the archives is just a bad idea to begin with. If it's that important, make a new thread.
