Best slotting for Radiant Aura?
Mine's muddled with Set IOs now but it used to be five slotted with Heal (x3) and Recharge (x2). Another recharge (or End Red, etc) didn't seem worth spending the sixth slot on it.
Ok, well, obviously your going to want 3 Heals, but outside of that is there anything else to make it more useful? it's not the best heal in the game, but my team of 2 Rad/x and a X/Rad has it so how can I make it better?
Also, speaking of Rad, my builds are tight, both with choices and Slots, so BARE minimum to make the Holy 3 of Rad's debufs better, how would you slot them? |
In Radiation Infection, if you are short on slots, try 3 Enzymes (ToHit Debuff/Defense Debuff/EndRdx). It max slots all three aspects of the power in only three slots.
Enervating Field -- 2 EndRdx. A third one has only a very small effect.
Ling Rad -- Depends on how much global Recharge you have. LR has a 30 Sec duration and 90 Sec Recharge, so you want that Recharge as high as possible. My default slotting is 1 common Acc, 2 common Rech, and Acc/Slow and Slow/EndRdx/Rech from Tempered Readiness. If you have enough global Recharge, you can drop one or two of the Recharge. In a perma-PA build for my Ill/Rad, I have it with only a single Accuracy -- but that is with a lot of global bonuses for Recharge and Accuracy.

How you slot it depends on what set bonuses you are going after.
For recharge slot 5 doctored wounds (all but the end/rech) this gives you capped heal, around 88% rech, and decent end reduction. This set gives a small heal boost bonus, and 5% recharge bonus.
For Hp bonuses slot 3 numinas/3 miracles (Heal/rech, end/rech, Heal/end/rech Numinas) (Heal, heal/rech, end/rech Miracle) this should give you capped heal, capped rech, and nearly capped end reduction and set bonuses are 2.5% rec, 2x 1.88% hp bonuses, and a 12% regen.
If you dont care about bonuses, frankenslot lots of heal,rech, and end reduction with mismatched sets to cap these attributes.
Doctored wounds is my default set because its cheap and easy to find, plus gives that nice little recharge bonus, but once I move onto final builds I many times have too many 5% recharge sets (rule of 5) so I reslot my heals for HP bonuses.
Bottom line: you cant go too far wrong with capped heal, and near capped recharge and end reduction on this power, so youll want 5 or 6 slots for it.
I usually go for frankenslotting on these powers:
Radiant Aura - 3 lvl 35+ Heal/Recharge IO's and 1 common Heal IO (or a 35+ Heal from one of the other sets to get the 2 slot bonus +12% regen or +2.5% recovery)
Result: a 95% heal bonus and a 68% recharge bonus with only 4 slots
Radiation Infection - I use lvl 35+ Dampenend Spirits To Hit Debuff and To Hit Debuff/Endurance and lvl 35+ Undermined Defenses Defense Debuff and Defense Debuff/Endurance
Result: -42% to hit, -48% defense, +4% Damage Bonus (IO Bonuses), 0.36 End/Sec (45%)
Enervating Field: 2 common end reducer IO's
Lingering Radiation: I slot with 2 Accuracy/Slow IO's and then 2-3 common recharge IO's
6000+ levels gained and 8 level 50's

Sets. Its really hard to look past Doctored Wounds. Great set that is well worth slotting, and is uncommon Pool A, so not that expensive.
