What can beat the following in a duel
hey guys and gals just a quick question.
As the title says what wot beat the following in a pvp duel (zonal or arena) 1, Dark/psy fender 2, elec/thermal corruptor 3, /cold corruptor (due to - rech its soooo annoying) Theres prob more but i cant think wot they might be |
I dunno what other peeps use but my fire/rad corr, MA/regen scrap beats the above combos most of the time.
Here is why
Fire/rad corr with FA and scrop shield...really messes up their to hit whilst FA has some resits to -to hit. As big as the dark heal is..it has a to hit check..and misses quite alot..RI plus scorp shield is really sweet i find. Aim plus FA plus web coccon will normally drop DN. Thermals tend to miss with HE as well...illu/thermals on the other hand can be quite nasty..that confuse(if it lands) is a real pain. Colds who abuse benumb will miss a fair bit as well. That said..some thermals and colds and psy/darks i cant beat simply because more skilled players always find a way out.
MA/regen with TD and webnade. BU plus EC will always dettogle DN..havent beaten every dark/psy i have come accros on scrap..sometimes you have to run and hide..sometimes you can stand toe to toe. Unless you can make that big heal miss..dark/psy will always win...i tend to spike with BU EC flurry and crane kick then pop mog and cross my fingers. Thermals are a real pain to regen..but elec is rather low damage. Can normally pop DP and IH before my end bar is drained..a lot of the times..they cant kill me before my recovery is back..some thermals have HE perma and they will take my lunch moneh all day!
Colds...perma webnade and just spam whatever attacks i have..they always go down..even with the - rech and all the debbuffage...one complete attack chain and the cold is runnin trying to pop aidself.

But probably not an AR/dev blaster. You wouldn't kill them before all the debuffs drag you down.

I would go blaster ,but you can also go kin/elec fender or elec/therm and drain them
yea best to fight ranged with ranged when it's waiting game, like a thermal waiting for your end to disappear or a cold waiting to use all your heals so you can't use them again.
I actually saw a blaster kill an ele/therm by using the /psi drain with the fake unstoppable to get enough +recovery to go threw HE. And the little end he gained back was actually enough to attack with conserve power on. WoC would help a lot too, making their drains miss if not perfectly timed.
Burst kills the other too. Maybe even using PFF at the right time so the dark misses their heal.

Depends on who is playing the cold corr. I've beaten many blasters with my dark/cold

A blaster would only be able to hit through darkest night in the 10 secs Aim and BU are up. A dark/psy with PBU will heal for over 500 every 2 secs..even with heal decay. Fluffy also has a big big heal. Dark/psy is slow and steady but will take down most targets. If you are unlucky enough to be grounded in tar patch....TF will hit for over 500...they really are monsters to fight against.
lol Sizzle.... I started the dark/psi fad on Union with Scrambled Egg so i'm well aware of what the combo can do and how to beat it.
No matter how much the heal is (800 with PBU on mine after the stealth change) it will still decay when fluffy is healing too. Not that a blaster will need to force a heal decay, they would've already killed the fender if they know what they're doing.
As for Tar Patch.... If a blaster is just standing in it, then something is wrong. Even a melee toon shouldn't.

I'd imagine an elec/SS/earth tank w/ leadership and winters gift, would be in a situation where it feels zero threat from any of those three combos. Leveraging yourself into a position to kill them will be the challenge.
tactics+rage will provide the tohit and the tohit debuff res (when paired with pvp resistance) to hit the dark, certainly with the -def of earth app it will. Being able to drop DN with fossilize at will should definitely put you in charge. I don't see a dark/psy dealing enough damage to be any sort of threat to an elec tank.
Lightning reflex+winters gift+pvp res should make you pretty resiliant to -rech. Benumb is pretty nasty though.
Elec armor lolz at end drain/-recovery.
You should be able to remain on the offensive against all 3 types, which drastically reduces how threatening and effective those combos are.
No personal experience with this, just looks like it would make sense.
