I think he did an awesome job of catching the bestial face Caemgen has... The knotwork definitely rocks and he even jumped on board with the Caemgen in a kilt thing!
I really love the armor in this pic - it totally rocks. Quite frankly, it looks like a high tech armor and the neon effects totally jazz it up!
I love the pose... I love the attitude... He did steal CR's 4-leaf clover idea She does look a few years older than I normally picture here (I generally see her as a sassy 20, 21 year old) but once I saw this I refused to let him change that... Since I just put her through a costume change in game to something a lot less revealing, this pic immediately told me a little story on how a few years down the road she's convinced to put on the original outfit again for a photoshoot for a magazine article or profile or somesuch... And isn't exactly thrilled by the prospect. (But hey, at least it still fits!)
Anyway, I love all three and I must say that he was great to work with.. Constantly seeking input on drafts, first attempts, etc... Heck, he had Alpha all but completed and then started over just because HE wasn't thrilled with the armor! I'm going to have to work with hima gain... maybe on a big action scene or something - really put him to the test!
Love all three of those from Clutch!

OMG CAEMGEN!!! I don't think I have been as impressed with your collection than I am right at this very moment! Clutch's piece of Caemgen is absolutely PHENOMENAL!!! I totally love the face!! And the chest is to DIE for!! TOTAL BEEF CAKE!! 
I love how he did the blue effects and the shiny armor on Alpha! Alpha is quite handsome! 
And Fenian! WOW! She is just...WOW!! Her curves are perfect and that look on her face...you boyz best watch out!! Definitely the best rendition of sexy Fenian I have seen done thus far!!

Egads! I'd be getting a swelled head if I had actually done more than just fork over some cash!!
But I have to agree, they are some of the absolute best pieces I've got so far... There's things I like best in each of those but then again there's things I like better in a couple of other pieces... That's what makes it impossible for me to definitively say one piece is the best.
But... I suppose I can say this is the best full set I have so far of my entire trio

There are things I like about the other two as well, I think clutch did a really good job with Caemgen's face for example, but I just see too many little things that bug me about them.
Since everyone is loving how they turned out though I didn't want to ruin the mood (so to speak ) so I just commented on Alpha because there is nothing I see prominently amiss with it and I like it the best of the three... it's as close to art tactful as I can muster when I'm in Caemgen's thread lol.
It's like this piece here... it's an excellent digital painting job but once you see the googly eyes it dominates the image.
I'll just PM my thoughts on the others to Caemgen later.
If CR didn't have issues with art I got i think that would be a sure sign of the apocalypse
I will say though that I view these portraits as more interpretive arts on the characters rather than exact, definitive representations of them. Not that I am complaining about that! I have no doubt if I had insisted (or even asked) for such that Clutch would have accomodated...
Rather, I really enjoy seeing artists put their spins on my characters... Seeing how they interpret them in their own styles and imaginations. When I saw the first roughs I definitely had a chance to push Clutch back towards replicating exactly the game models and such but I decided I'd rather see where he was going. I did insist on a few changes but overall I liked seeing his view of them...
Of course if CR has other issues than how exactly these arts reproduce the ideals then I'm not sure what they are... But I will say that even when I disagree with him I do tend to find his comments and criticisms interesting, insightful and worth thinking about...

How bored at work was I last night? So much that I realized I had no arts from artists whose names begin with D, G, H, I, K, O, P, Q, X or Y... (this being names I think of them by, not real names or such... Thus John Becar is Becaro...)
I may just have to work on this for sillinesses sake...
As long as Caemgen doesn't feel like he got ripped-off, it's all good.

Seriously, don't feel shortchanged at all. CR is a bit Mr. Monk like when it comes to spotting flaws, and like Monk he probably finds it a blessing... And a curse.
CR had valid points. Some I had noticed before he pointed them out but I had no problem with. Some I could only see after he pointed them out but despite now knowing I lose no enjoyment of the pieces... One thing I should have been more observant about, another more sure of myself and spoke upbabout, but egads... They're damn cool arts even if they do have a few flaws.. And really, how many arts are without a single flaw or three??
All in all, I would most definitely reccommend him to others and use him again.. That should say it all.

Actually have been buried in work with 3 custom pc builds, an upgrade, and a data recovery from a clients failed hard disk (I warned her to back up her stuffz
) and one of the PC's is being uniquely challenging (read a pain in my backside lol) so I haven't been posting much or drawing in the last week or two. Good to be busy I guess...Quote:

Oh and even though his DA name is Spidey0318 I think most people know him by and he signs his work as Omi (and it's his name) so you could make a case for having O as long as you have other S's.

You are certainly talented and capable of creating fantastic pieces (and have far more experience with digital paints than I do) but even my current favorite piece in Caemgen's gallery, that amazing shot of Caemgen on the tombstone by Androsym had glaring (to me anyway
) flaws in it, like the tail hadn't been colored and... you know... that suspiciously phallic tombstone spooging in the background. 
Now that those things have been corrected it's much better (my opinion) and people can look at it without thinking man that's just amazing, if only the artist hadn't...

We all miss stuff in our own work, and most of what I saw was of the small detail variety... like the iris of Fenian's "camera left" eye is much bigger than the right one and looking in a different direction and she's missing an eyebrow and the bottom eyelash on that side as well etc. etc..,
I am certainly no exception to this (heck I had accidentally made my Fenian piece cross-eyed until Suichiro caught it
) so I'm thankful when others here take the time to look over my stuff and point out what needs work so I can improve over time.Caemgen is probably a little too laid back (or maybe lazy
) in this regard and gives a lot of free reign to the artists and I'm kinda like the counterweight to that, I go over them with a more critical eye looking for what's amiss... as a result he ends up with some really cool and unique stuffz that still holds true to his character design.By saying this I'm not taking any credit for the cool stuff in his gallery (well other than the two pieces that I created

Doubly the line artist was Snareser the colorist was of course me(Scooter).
so I would totally count Spidey0318 as Omi ans scratch O off the list.

As for youbtaking credit for my cool arts (besides those you've done), well I don't even take credit for them since I'm just the money guy... If someone complimented character design I'd take limited credit on that (limited since I myself was limited to pre created costume pieces) but the artists get credit for the arts
Still, as I was saying earlier today, I totally appreciate the comments and critiques you've provided - they not only have pushed me to be more insistant about how I want things but also help me to learn what to look for in future drafts and such to try to cut off problems before they happen...
So ya, you can take some of any credit I may get even though I don't think i deserve any

Hmmm, maybe I'm just a sucker for new styles... Or maybe I'm a sucker for new artists... or maybe I just felt bad that her journal stated that she had tried a few months before but nobody hired her... *shrug* Anyway, I couldn't help but give her a shot at my characters...
The following were done by Isuna from Deviant Art, they're not the best but not bad for someone just getting their feet wet imo...
Ooops, also forgot to mention that she gets the honor of being the first to complete my characters in their new outfits!! (Ok, Red Fire did do a gift art of Caemgen which rocked but that was before Caemgen in a kilt was official... Cluth also put Cae in a kilt but that was actually more coincidinkle...)

First I should thank TA, I found this latest artist through his Network
The following were done by alt-territory who just opened up for commissions recently and I was able to sneak in and be his first customer Not sure being "his" first customer is as good as being "hers" but I'll take what I can get!
a-t was great to work on for these pics, kept in constant contact, was always looking for input and more than willing to make changes/adjustments when needed. I think he'd still be working on Caem's horns if I was still asking him to but I realize more and more how much of a pita they are and I'm thus willing to settle for close enough so I stopped asking after a couple whacks at it.
I'd seriously suggest you put him on your watch list, I have a feeling his stuff will just keep getting even better for a while Anyway, he claims these look even better in real life than scan... Can't wait to find out!

I love the pose and the look on Caemgen's face - So many people want him to be scowling and all mean looking! lol... Most times I think this would be much more appropriate (unles in the midst of a fight) as he'd really rather just be hanging out, eating pizza and reading a good sci fi book...
I'm really digging the fog/smoke swirling around in the Alpha pic... Taking another look at it I think it's a bit...errr, something? pose wise... I'm guessing he's taking a giant step over something. But whatever, it highlights the rocket boot and I love my rocket boots!! (Seriosly, will not make a new Alpha toon without a rocket boot recipe waiting for him!)
And I just absolutely LOVE the Fenian pic!! She always comes out best but I suppose it's because everyone likes drawing chicks The magic power swirly thing around her hand is an awesome touch by the artist!
Anyway, like I said, you should definitely put him on watch. He doesn't have a ton of stuff on his DA page yet but I'm pretty sure what he adds will be pretty cool...
Wow Caemgen!! I love all three that alt-territory drew up for you!! The lines and details are really good! Will Alt be colorizing them, or will you be looking for someone else to color them? Although, leaving them just the way they are is still frameable to me! Gratzzz!!!
