I assume you'd also take build up? if so, let's just run the damage boost (assault, build up, and 20% in bonuses) through the damage numbers, assuming 3 dmg SO's worth of enhancement slotting.

Range: 239.4
Damage: 561.94
BU inactive:
Range: 239.4
Damage: 389.24
of course these are numbers at level 50. You'll one shot minions, put a huge dent in Lts (one shotting some), and give bosses a bad time.

Targeting Drone increases the damage of a sniper rifle. I remember reading that a while ago is some patch notes. I don't remember the increase %.

Yeah. An AR/Dev with Assault, 95% Enhancement, 20% Set Bonus and Targeting Drone will be getting ~422.89 damage out of Sniper Rifle
Which is just shy of one-shotting a level 50 minion (430 HP).

Yes before taking into account build up, aim, power boost, boost range ect.
Drop a proc in there and it will frequently one shot minions from that boost of damage. Doesn't always happen, of course, but it's a nice bonus. It occurs quite frequently for my blasters with Snipe powers and a proc slotted.

Device if your going for damage output is pretty weak to take with AR.. I'd rather have a 10 sec 100% boost when i want it than a flat 33% at all times Sniper Rifle is a front loaded weapon. You wana hit them so hard they can turn to see who shot them. Sniper Buckshot can almost 2 shot some Orange Minnion lvl mobs and I don't have a proc in it yet.
My level 50 AR/EM blaster just did 602.39 points of lethal damage against a lvl 50 Harlequin Juggler, using Assault + BU + Sniper Rifle. My Sniper Rifle power is only 5 slotted, with 5 Sting of the Manticores, one of which is a toxic proc, which was not included in the previous attack on the Carnie minion. Most of the time when it does fire off, the minion is already dead. But it helps against lethal resistant mobs, like Malta. That when the proc comes into play. And quite frankly, thats when you need it.
Tackling a group with just a lt + 3 or 4 minions, Assault + BU + Sniper Rifle, the lieut., then Full Auto the group. They all fall down about the same time. This is assuming you're not fighting a group that has a ton of lethal resistance.

Ok so Im making a new concept toon. Im wanting to get the most damage out of sniper rifle as possible and make it a useful attack. Here is my thought process, I dont have mids at work so I wont be included any slot info, although Im sure the Set I/Os are all good.
Starting w/ AR/Nrg using only the bullet attacks (burst, slug, sniper, full auto). Will have power boost, boost range.
Im going to take stealth, CJ, Hasten, Assault.
Im wondering how much damage can be done per shot. I think I can get about 15-20% damage upgrades from set bonuses. Can anyone w/ Mids do a quick number crunch to see what the Max damage it can do? I want to try and one show bosses, or get pretty darn close to it. Thanks
