Double XP - What did YOU Accomplish?

Joined a new SG on Freedom and watched it become #1 by hitting the staggering amount of 321 million prestige, which was pretty cool. Two toons were brought to 47 (from 43 and 33) and one from 1 to 22 in that SG.

Played a bit on other servers as well, nothing remarkable, but good fun.

The most disturbing thing was family members and real life intruding. First double XP I had a real job, which messed with my gaming (OK, I had one in July but then I could take a vacation for the double XP days)

One of my friends, pacted to me, got my level 21 ill/ta to 24 without me, then we got our pact to level 28 together.
Tonight I got my newbie earth/earth dom from level 6 to level 15! Yay, crystalized earth stuffs!

once again i manage to waste the DXP weekend once again. i just found it hard getting a team together or getting into a team. over the 4 days it was i think i many 9 levels

Despite only having a several hours to play, I got 2 more levels on my stalker and my Corr from 12 - 21.

I also ate a whole jalapeno chili pepper thinking it wasn't going to be that hot....

I worked on my SS/INV brute over the weekend...Started off at ummm I think 17ish and finished on lvl 42.

I did a lot of soloing, a little farming and teaming, all round a fun weekend.

But damn I'm exhausted now!

It was the 1st Double XP that i enjoyed and really acomplished something.
My initials plans were to lvl a bit all my low level deffos who sit in 1-3 lvl range.... but thursday night i logged with my lvl 36 Nin/Nin stalker, and on Monday night after 3 itf (last one failed), 1 binder of the beast sf, 1 leviathan sf, some team misions and soloin my patron misiions in +2 lvl difficulty, i managed to get him to lvl 48...... and the most important of all, i had a lot of fun.

A thing that made me happy also, is that redside in defiant was quite active.

defiant only

Do you play on Defiant much though West?

It can be a bit of a ghost-town, especially Villain-side. Even Union wasn't overly full over the weekend (130ish at peak time at 8:30pm Friday night Red Side, but there was a lot of calls out for SFs on Sals Global Channel). I got some fairly decent teams but I did solo a fair bit as well though.

No, but I played for about three months on the lowest population US server and NEVER had a problem getting a team when I wanted one.

I did, in fact, do absolutely nothing.

I'm a Virtue player at heart. And as far as I'm concerned, I'd rather play with normal XP and no lag than play with double XP and minimal lag.

May as well spend the weekend being sexy to the gentlemen, right?

And i have spent nights sending the tell "Hello may i join your team? Level $level archetype."
To people in various level ranges sometimes to over a hundred people without getting a single reply.

TF teams isnt really a problem, regular teams can be.

Well it's a good thing that I just updated my guide then.

It's not just for TFs anymore!

This is really annoying to me and I'm sure to many other people. Anyone that does THIS is instantly on my ignore list. So that might be your problem right there. I can't stand when people bug me to join my team if I don't know them, and I never do it to others myself. If I'm not on a team, I FORM a team. If I wanted you on my team, you'd either be ON my team already, or I'd be looking for someone with their flag up so I'd find you anyways. But bugging people already ON teams? Such a huge taboo, and I don't know why but it bothers me SO much when people do this.

I spend my day trying to find a team on defiant to level a mastermind and a defender alt, but both AE's where empty all day long and there where 7 or 8 people in Atlas Park a few in the higher level zones and zero people on PI.
The only exp I got all weekend long was from the auto complete on my missions, all the exp I get these days.

Wow, I normally don't do this, but after this comment and a few others I've seen from you, I decided to go back and look at your post history. You have post after post of nothing but negative things to say about this game. You are consistently negative or ripping on the game in almost EVERY post that you make. So I have to ask you, if you hate it so much...

...why are you still here? Do you just LIKE to complain?

Not so much EU side, or certainly I've never heard of anyone Ignoring or Complaining about it on teams. I have gotten "lol, he messaged me too" a few times but generally then they get invited.

I can't see why anyone would take umbrage at it really. Especially before the new Diff settings where you might be only one of a few people in your level range around and visible on the /sea menu. From advice I read on the EU boards asking around nicely seemed always be one of the ways to go. There was certainly no taboo around messaging someone on a team.

I'm hoping the Devs will finally give Team Leaders an opt-in "Looking for Members" flag soon. Been suggested tonnes of times, BaBs himself mentioned it before and I never heard anything about it since.

If you like this game so much then why do you spend your time on the boards being an immature little annoyance ?
I said this before, and I will say this again; I dont like the fact to just abandon my characters that I've spend close to 2 years on ingame.

I'm actually in game being an immature little annoyance at the same time that I'm being one on the forums more often than not. I can multi-task pretty well. And I have no life either, so that helps a TON!

I rest my case.

What case? The only disagreement here is why you're still here, I've already accepted everything you have to say about ME, so you're not really winning anything there.

I already told you why I'm still here.

Took a few toons I may or may not keep into their 20s (I love DXP for testing) and gained a bankload of prestige with my 50s.

Made several new global friends too, which is always great. I met some AE babies for the first time (I missed the entire AE 'event'). Hopefully I helped those people out a bit.

The teaming went the full gamut from those I couldn't stand to those that I played hours and hours with.

I love the new SSK system, particularly on these types of occassions. It is especially great for those that like to exemplar, like myself. Just join any team you want with any character you want and have fun.

....AE xp wasn't doubled, so once people realized that, there was no reason for them to be doing it.

(I got burned out on that "standing around trying to find a team" thing back in WoW in 2005. I spent the weekend here busily soloing missions, and got bunches of xp for my lowbie alts. But, hey, to each their own.... /shrug)

End of weekend update:

Luc'trelix, BS/WP scrapper from 26 to 27, about half a level on Little Lux, level 34 Warshade and got Angwusnasomtaqa, my new rad/archery defender to level 11!

Most of my love for the new character comes from her name.

...I forgot what experience means.
