i dunno, i'm at work between 13-15, can't say it bothers me that much. It's better than current maintenance hours imo.

Care to explain how you think moving it from 8am to 12pm is better? I honestly cant see how it is.
Edit: I understand that 12 - 2 is roughly the time when the AE and WW come down so can understand them thinking that its better to have 1 maintenance instead of 2, just as a player i dont like that its in the middle of my day during my playtime. Selfish of me ? Yes but thats who i am

Anyway, it's pretty clear they're getting closer and closer to unifying everything, so I say to them, just get the sodding server merge over and done with, will you? Getting fed up with things now. Everything is done to convenience the US players these days, and EU gets disregarded as usual because we don't have enough numbers to count anymore.

But... since it's only two days a week, it's less aggravating. In comparison, it could be worse for Europena players... at least it's not like Australia where maintenance can happen in the middle of the early evening, during prime time
These are indeed assigned maintenance windows and most often than not, regular maintenance related downtime is reduced to 30 minutes but we needed to make sure that you all knew about the change.
I've updated the original announcement with that information.

Since you are in the UK i think you can appreciate that even though it isnt during our prime time, that it is netherless in the middle of the day. Obviously you are in the same situation even though you play on the US servers but the fact remains that in the middle of the day neither of us will be able to play the game.
I am probs one of the few that is greatly affected by this due to my wierd work hours since i either can only play during the day or the early evening so my game time will be reduced
Hence my "grrr"ness

EVE Online for example has maintenance every day for hours during noon. (well for me it's between 13.00 and 14.00) That's a lot worse.

Lets say that I am definitely not pleased with this change in schedule. One of the reasons we got our own server park is that we can adhere to normal European times instead of being forced to compromise with American times. This is not something I can consider good service.
And yes, this is affecting me greatly enough to care.
At least in the morning it was something to remind me 'Its too early for this carp, silly bolt-bag!'
Although at the moment I'm starting college, and I cant play till 5pm anyway (network rules) =P

What have we Australians done to you guys???? Shutdown is now Friday night at 9:00 pm. And heaven help us on the weeks there are multiple shutdowns. We basically can't play at all.
It was bad enough when we were getting kicked off at 11:00pm but this is rediculous. Couldn't you guys have a rolling schedule so that the load is spread out across time zones rather than everyone in this one frequently seeing that damn red paragraph just as we are getting started. If not how about we at least get a discount to our subs to make up for the fact our peak playing time the game is unavailable.
Oh and before someone pipes up with "but it's only really one night" remember that Friday night is about the only night everyone with families can all get on at the same time.

As someone who works a 2 shift pattern the maintenance will either be over when I get in, or will start just before i need to think about going in. Ultimately of course server maintenance needs to be done and any scheduled slot is going to cut into some peoples time more than others.
It does seem the Oceanic players have got the thin edge of this wedge.
