Bots/Traps Swarm Missile Combo Video
PrincessDarkstar,
I'm really not sure. I played the build as listed for several days and always had the same issue. Perhaps it's my play style and the Prot bots were healing to much which cause there endurance to bottom out all the time. Or perhaps I just barged in from one massive group of mobs to another group too soon and then noticed the endurance issue. However, the problem was pretty much solved when I did that one tweek to the build.
<edited> Note: I normally either play on 0/8 or 2/5 so that may be a reason right there that I have endurance issues.
Now if I can just find awsome builds for my other MM's I can start revamping them. I'm not a Wizard with it comes to Mids like some people in these forums.
Anyone have an uber MM build that they would like to post for: Necro/Dark, Robot/Dark, Robot/Storm, Robot/Poison?
If you are interested in trying extremely cheap build (<200m) that still can solo big game (GM's) while also able to do spawns of 0(-2)/8 with relative easy. I'd suggest trying something like this:

I believe Bots/Traps by Anshar Seraphim at 1st page is superior in performance compared to these builds especially when fighting against 2+/8 boss spawns. But I nevertheless feel this kind of bot/dark builds with hasten can hold their own spots as well..
Ps. Just out of curiosity: Have any of you tested that build against Rikti Pylon? How fast you can take Pylon down?
Simak,
I have not tried this build on the Rikti Pylon. Are you talking about the ones in the Rikti War Zone? If so I'll give it a go when I get back home. Currently I'm at a project site and will not get back until this upcomming week.

Pylons have 38343,75 hp, and their regen is 127,8 hp/s.
So if one is able to solo Pylon (which in itself is already good accomplishment to many AT) one can count dps with this formula: DPS= 127.8125+(38343.75/"killing time in seconds")
To be more accurate I should say effective dps, since most of MM builds will debuff Pylons regen, (diminishing 127,8.. part of formula) and debuffing resistance. But nevertheless this formula shows what's the dps that corresponds your ability to hurt Pylon.
Of course it's just one test in certain conditions and should be taken as such. But it's still very repetable way of testing toon.
My best time is 4:09, but usually I clock times in 4:30-5:30 range. I start the clock when I've run into spot where I want to stay. So tbh my 1st taunt has actually landed few seconds earlier but thats before any other power usage.

Princess,
You know the build I play which is a slightly modified version of the one posted in the video. When I play my MM I usually play either at 1/8 or something lower depending upon the mobs or the mission in question. I normally run through missions which may give me a small endurance issue but for the most part with the build I'm playing I have little problems at all. However, sometimes when I get 2 or 3 groups of 10+ mobs close together and I pull them all it can be interesting and I will have to pop some inspirations.
BTW playing mostly in body guard mode I never seem to need Challenge at all. Once I jump in and throw down Electric Fences and Caltrops I get all the aggro I need for about 6 seconds then there is nothing left to kill.
Challenge/Provoke is mainly so I can hold the attention of AV's and the like, I would rather not have any AV kill my Assault Bot if I can help it.
I have however realised that I might need better stealth depending on how /Traps plays, but I am only level 7 at the moment so am not sure. Also I will see how I get by without Aid Self/Aid Other.

Hey just curious how much it costs to buy all of those enhancements.

Nice costume, I might steal some of it.
Oh and nice video. I doubt my bots/dark could have done better.
Thanks for the feedback! I could always make a full-on Bots/Traps guide if the MMs on the forums want me to. There's one already out there but it seemed the original poster may have just posted what he learned at an early phase and theorycrafted the rest. This is just my two cents, though, not trying to say anything bad about his guide writing ability (just that I felt he missed a lot).
I think I cover a lot of the main points in the build. Feel free to message me at @Circus of the Damned if you'd like to see the build in action on infinity and ask questions. |

The total was 7.1 Billion. If you are willing to bid and wait days at a time for the enhancers/recipes you want you could probably get away with half that.
That was awesome to watch! I really like what you have going on there. The whole build idea along with the insane AoE damage your bots put out is impressive. I had a Thugs/Traps on infinity named Smokin' Ace. I've dumped about as much infamy into her as you have into yours...it's a shame, I don't think we ever got to team, that would've been a blast. I bounced her to Freedom so I can have fun in RV again.
I love to pvp though...and I'd really like one of these days to go toe-to-toe with yours in the arena if I ever get Ace back to Infinity. I'll look you up when I can, Infinity is my main server.

Second, I highly recommend stamina. Alot of secondaries spread out their endurance use, and so you're constantly draining stamina, and Traps is more front load with no constant maintenance, you summon everything and then sit there spamming web grenade which usually won't outpace your recovery.
But in the middle of battle, when you lose a minion, have to resummon and rebuff everything, and then your acid mortar and FFG go down, you'll wish you had that recovery. Plus, you're going to want to slot all your traps for stuff other than endurance reduction, making stamina even more desirable. At 35 the only secondary power I have endurance reduction in is web grenade, which has a 6 slotted set in it. Caltrops has procs, FFG is just defense IOs, acid mortar is recharge and defense debuff, etc.
I have a question for anyone to answer.
I've been looking up and down for a way to macro inspirations into my assault bot. I found insp_exec commands, but they only execute on my actual character, I can't find a single slash command that allows me to give inspirations to one of my pets.
I love the idea of having a few macros to dump reds, yellows, oranges or blues into my assault bot. If someone knows all about it, I specifically want macros that dump one type of inspiration (damage, acc, def, etc) and that uses them in order of smallest to largest. I want to have two small and two med reds and hit the button three times to dump the two smalls and one of the mediums into my assault bot, in that order.
I have a question for anyone to answer.

Also, wanted to check something.
I want to make the macro to execute in order as I said, the way commands work I remember is that it tries to execute all commands at once, so if you put three commands that are all going to work, it executes the last one. So if I want it to execute in order I need to do
/macro Green inspexec_pet_name Resurgence excimer$$inspexec_pet_name Dramatic Improvement excimer$$inspexec_pet_name Respite excimer
and it will try respite first, then dramatic improvement, then resurgence? (My Assbot's name is Excimer)
I'd try it out, but servers are down =p
I like the target idea though, I think I'm going to set it up with target instead of name, so I can unload luckys into my protectors when needed to soft cap them as well, then just target the assbot, and bind greens yellows reds and oranges to 1, 2, 3, and 4.
How would I bind this to a key? I guess I just do /bind instead of /macro? or do I need to create a text file or something?
::Edit::
Checked the unofficial /bind list, answered the last question.
Now I just need to learn to make petsay skits.

I paid the 'instant gratification' price on mine and didn't wait for long term bids to go overnight. When I had the money I bought each enhancer for a buyout price (and farmed all of the money on that toon).

I had made a slight change to ur build so it wasnt insanely costful
I changed the ragnarok IOs to 3 lvl 50 damage IO and 2 Accuracy IO and it turned way more affordable cos each ragnarok in Virtue cost like 180m each!. (like 180X5=900m) I really did not have the attension span to make that much money!
Please tell me what you think about the change or try give me a cheaper substitute please.
You wouldn't go to a car dealership and tell them you wanted a car with the performance of Lamborghini but the price of a Toyota, would you?
My adivice would be to go for some low-hanging fruit that is easy to access, but gives good return. Things like defense for more survivability, cheap procs in often-used powers, etc. Once you get a character that can steamroll, start working towards the more expensive IOs.
Question: Does Force Recharge: +100% Recharge (10%) chance, stack of multiple casts from pets on the player, and not for the actual pets? Because thats what Mids is showing me. I just wanted confirmation.
Ah, thanks for the insight.
I have a question. If you had a Thugs/traps, with both the pets and yourself softcapped, and aid other to heal them, could you do the same thing? I ask because I already have a thugs/traps at 50, and I really don't like the bots enough to lvl them because of the sounds they make and the knockback. (Yes I know how to use knockback; still don't like it). If I can keep my arsonist alive, would they be able to do the same levels of damage as here?

Damage wouldn't be your problem, survivability would be. Your arsonist dies to a stiff breeze, and there goes your missile patch. Lose an enforcer to an unlucky shot early in a spawn and you stand a good chance of dying, or at least having to retreat as your pets cascade failure. Bots have a severe advantage over thugs in that the set is incredibly top heavy, and the assbot is pretty durable, plus he's easily soft-cappable. Losing a minion happens to me all the time, and I never drop battle drones mid battle unless they all three die, because the amount of damage I'm losing is usually miniscule.
Which of their powers uses a lot of endurance?
