I'm not against female pets for Masterminds in the least. But I am against scantily clad ones.
I'd like to see female mercs in full uniform and female thugs wearing standard street gear like the boys. Female ninjas covered head to toe like the current Genin? Sure! Perhaps even a female zombie (though I'd really prefer she be more dressed than the current male ones... in fact, they could really use more than the shorty-shorts they're wearing now) would be okay.
But bikini girls with guns? I don't even think the OP would do anything but stand around trying to pimp them out for inf. Sorry dude, you're just not coming across like the sort of mature individual who could handle an army of bikini women responsibly.
Edit: I will say though, we totally need the villainous swiveling egg chair as a base item.

Not that swimming actually plays a major part of the gameplay in City of Heroes, but it's an important part of the look.

I heartily approve of the OP's message.
Every female toon I've made in this game would cause a traffic pile up just crossing the street. I know a major factor in why I haven't gotten into playing MM's is because every one ends up looking the same (ie my thugs MM with pets out looks the same as your thungs MM with pets out).
So I definitely support pet customization. I also play video games for enjoyment and part of why I play a lot of female toons is because I like looking at them more than I like looking at dudes. The dude toons I play are usually robotic and awesome, or crazy mutant/demons and awesomely unlike anything in real life.
So for me female henchies that can be made to look as good as my female toons would be a huge yes vote from me.
Hmm even replacing them with NPC models brings up the problems of what do the upgrades look like.
I mean for Tier Vahzilok Zombie NPCs there's easy upgrade options, going from normal Cadaver to Abomination to Emblamed Abomination...
But Tier 2 and 3, with Tier 3 probably being an Ediolon...where to you show upgrades on them...and what would Tier 2 be?
Hmm mind you...could just use different coloured Auras to signify the upgrades.
