So how has I16 / SSK'ing changed your play?

Previously, my characters do all task forces when they were at the upper range of the TF. I'd only exemp with a task force with a level 50 character; this was both for merits and to give me an opportunity to play the level 50 again.

Now? When any character can get xp when exemping? I honestly don't know what I'm going to do now. Use this to concentrate more on leveling the current/newer character? Continue playing like always?

The biggest change is how easy it is to get a team going. It was always frustrating when people were sort of in a similar level range, but didn't have enough mentors to include everyone. (So like 2 people are level 11, a few between 5-8 or so). Now, we can all play together, enjoy XP, and bulldoze through missions, and everyone can contribute. It's good stuff.

I might exemp for more TFs on whatever I'm currently leveling up, but I was never really that worried about exemping or whatever anyway.

For those guys I'm leveling up and don't really care for soloing, I'm just gonna do any trial/TF that I can join when available, regardless of lower level or not. I would never have done this before. It's GLORIOUS!

As for other characters, it'd be whatever I'm in the mood to play. I have a glut of things that I just don't get around to playing for various reasons. And now I have 3 - 4 characters I want to run, so other than the random/far-between lvl 50 TFs, it's going to be even longer before I get around to them.

Though with the mission slider now.......a couple of characters are primed for some serious solo carnage for some hopeful purples. Traps MM is fun to play again!

Going to be harder to catch up if you fall behind a group a little as you won't be getting the larger chunks of xp. Just moderate chunks. Also the little popup message was insanely annoying for the first hour of isos until I turned it off.

Drops seem to be broken when spawns are set to large numbers when you are solo. It doesn't seem like I am getting the number of drops I should be.

Not a whole lot so far. Tues. and Wed. nights I was running with lowbie teams, so it really didn't mean a lot. The 20% xp increase didn't seem very noticable to me. Didn't the last blue side Iso's end up at 15-16 after the first session?

Last night I ran a Moonfire on a lvl 33 blaster. It was odd getting xp, but I did manage to get almost a level out of it.

In the case of TF/SFs, it seems like you are being punished if you run the TF/SF within the defined lvl range. For the Moonfire I ran, I had all my powers, including my tier 9.

I wonder if there shouldn't be some sort of incentive to run TF/SFs within their level ranges? Obviously, pre-i16, it was for the xp. Now, not so much. Otherwise, why would you ever want to run a Posi before you hit 20? Or for that matter, any of the low level TF/SFs until you are 4-5 levels above the maximum?

Although based on not a lot of play time for it, this is how I am feeling so far. Just team up and go. And especially not worrying about falling behind or getting to far ahead in certain situations.

Ran for the first time in a group last night and noticed those XP. Course, I was playing a 50. I think it will make my much more likely to run in any available TF so that is a good thing.

The worst thing about i16 is ... I can't get out of Icon! Just have to keep tweaking one more thing. (Missed out on a MITF too because I wanted to get those colors just right and the team was full when I finished.)

LOL... that is me too. I already used three free tokens on my new lvl 12 Iso toon alone! Just a little more adjustment...

But I haven't even tried the mission slider and Voo mentioned traps and a mastermind... I may have to try that with my lvl 50 bots/traps.

I love the new spines look too. I never made one since I didn't like, as someone said, the banana look. But now...

I love this issue!

Well, I was talking about a Merc/Trap.......Mercs are pretty lacking and I need to use Traps as much as possible. Soloing before was boring/tedious as the spawns weren't much to notice, but I still had to use traps to compensate for the Mercs.

Bots don't really need much of anything to help My Bot/Dark will probably laugh at increased spawns.

Likewise I think my bots/storm will have a lot of fun with the increased spawn sizes.

I wouldn't waste a costume token on such a low level character; the amount of money you're saving is so minor. High leveled characters are where the costume changes are nutzo; 2 million inf to change your level 50's hair! Bah.

It is definitely fun. Although as a duo, my friend and I took my bots/storm and his perma-Dom in +4/team of 8 settings and ran some. Just WOW! Only one wipe when we pulled some extra aggro from a second mass of mobs on a ledge above us. The one thing I haven't tested are the different types - like I avoided Malta for now.

Just an FYI -- the recipe drop rate (or lack thereof) is theoretically tied to being set to the higher difficulties according to the various threads I've been reading. Less recipe drops = less chance at purples.
