Yes they do get merits but they can not get merits from that mission again until 24 hours pass.
Storyarcs only award merits (and the end-of-arc XP and influence bonus) to the mission holder. The exception is if you do them through Ouroboros - in this case all team members will get merits.
There are no diminishing returns on story arc merit rewards.

The Devs prolly wanted to insure that people don't pick up merits from some of the longer arcs by doing nothing more than hanging out in a single mission at the end of the story.
That would also explain why doing arcs via Ouro would give merits: the team is the same from start to finish (well, give or take a DC or a person quitting).
I used to run arcs for merits, but, boy, most storyarcs don't give that many (or they didn't, haven't looked at recent numbers), and you have to run a lot in order to get some of the decent, and very high auction-priced, recipes. It was just easier to run a mess of MA missions, rack up tickets, and take my chance on random rolls. <_<;;
Now just doing arcs normally, outside of Oro, I'll do them as we get to them, and save up the merits for later.

I didn't see the ITF on that list, but it might be listed under a "real" TF name I don't recognize.
Just to be clear: everyone on an ORO arc gets merits (assuming they run the whole arc)? Hrm, I may start forming teams for that.

In Ouroboros, you can invite people for the beginning, and have them logoff until the finale, but at the least that character is locked into the arc until it's complete. In order to pull the same stunt, you'd have to use 8 different characters on 8 different teams, much less efficient logistically speaking, and the rewards are spread over 8 characters and nontradeable.

Paragon Wiki has a list, I know Colleen Saramango for example is 10 or 11, and really didn't take that much time. The others are listed on there.
How many of you run Arcs for merits? I have started doing this, but it is hard to recruit groups because usually the arcs take you all over, which I am ok with, but not all people are.
Question - if I have an arc for Merits, do the people that run the missions with me get them as well? If not, why?
