All the slots filled up, thanks for the support! I've already started on a couple couple characters.

Over the next couple of days, I'm going to be organizing the reference material, making sure I have all the email information, and sending out the paypal money requests. Then I think I'm going to do the initial drawings of the characters in passes. So I'll do a preliminary drawing of a character and then move on to the next without going to far into the rendering. That way everyone should be able to get something relatively soon to look at. Things will of course evolve and change as the book develops, but it's a good way to do an initial update.

Yay! So looking forward to this. I think I'll even have enough time to gather my refs for ya today, too!

Did you have a preferred email to send the refs too? I'm a little confused with the wrong email being used for PayPal and such.

The BWCommissions@yahoo.com email is fine. It's just not hooked up to my paypal, but I'm checking it for requests, references, etc.

Hi guys,

I just sent out a bunch of payment info, either to people's devaint accounts or straight to email, so please check when you get a chance.

Now that I'm working on the sketches, I'm wondering if people want to see wips? For example if I made a folder on my deviant page and started uploading the roughs as I did them. My plan is to do a rough sketch of all 30 characters that will serve as the "primary sketch." Then I'll go back and do more drawings, render and polish the initial sketches, etc.

What do you guys think? Do you want me to make a wip folder, or should I just keep everything under wraps? Does anyone not want other people seeing the progress on their character?

Personally I like wips, but I think something like this should be kept under wraps maybe leak a couple.

I'd love to see a WIP folder. And if people want to keep the surprise to the end, they don't have to peek in it!

Hi guys,

I've uploaded three wips to my gallery for the book. They are all rough, but I think this is a good stage at which to stop and then start on the next. That way I can digest the image and get some distance on it before going back and rendering the crap out of everything. The Nadya pic is an example of a more conceptual approach I'll be including supplemental to standard figurative renderings like the other two.

I removed the Nadya pic because I feel it was based on a misread of the character. It was also prep for other images that I think are inappropriate based on Nadya's feedback. It's no big deal I'll just take things in another direction. More images soon.

Damn. I never even got to see the Nadya pic, even if it wasn't correct. :<
