Yay NJ!
Not sure what you're looking for when you say "team." Are you looking for a Supergroup? Some people to play with regularly?
If so, I'm not sure why they need to be from NJ... if you're that specific with a group search, you probably won't find what you want. The people in my Supergroup are from all over the U.S., and that's pretty common for any group I've heard of. Themes can make sense, but location in real life, not so much... unless you're just hanging with friends, which it doesn't sound like you're doing.

i used to have a SG from my area when i first started playing, it was fun for a while then real life got in teh way.
the group disbanned and filters into other games.

In fact, everyone should move out of NJ now. Especially SH. I mean, seriously, it's a hole. A steaming pile of ... steaming things. Everyone leave, except all the people working in Italian restaurants. The good ones, I mean. (I know, that's most of them, but really.) And the teppanyaki ones too. Also, grocery stores. And the people that pump my gas. (In the -10 degree weather, even! Because why would anyone want that??!!) And the Starbucks people...

I lived in New Jersey for 2 years. It IS that bad.
I took a sizable pay cut when I left Jersey and ended up better off because the cost of living is so much lower just about anywhere else.
Clean driving record, crummy car = $200+ per MONTH for car insurance. (It dropped to $50 per month when I left.) That cute little GEICO lizard wouldn't set foot in Jersey, probably for fear of being stabbed.
