Cashoo's CoX artwork + art requests!
Pyro - That is awesome... Love the way he seems to be pushing out from the button. Very, very cool.
As for the flag thing... The only rule I can think of is on some military uniforms... I believe they have the blue field on the top right for the shoulder patches so when marching it looks more like the flag is waving in the breeze or such? (Was looking for example, first I found is here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/traversant/3572311234/ )
Ah, should have checked Wikipedia in the first place! Doh! - Display on vehicles and uniforms
When the flag is affixed to the side of a vehicle or uniform, it should be oriented so that the union is towards the front. This is done to give the impression that the flag is blowing backwards from its hoist as the vehicle or wearer moves forward.[20] Therefore, U.S. flag decals (or patches) on the right sides of vehicles (or uniforms) may appear to be "reversed", with the union to the observer's right instead of left as more commonly seen.
Other rules can also be found on the Wiki page here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/America...s_and_uniforms
All in all though, I think Cashoo's piece is fine... I think the flag is vague enough that it's mainly the colors and impression of a flag and I doubt anyone except the most ardent of flag etiquette upholders would have an issue with it.
I did say it was a minor nitpick...
Yep, I didn't go on like that because of you, per se... Just a kind of dhiarrhea of the mouth (or typing fingers) going on. I thought the uniform (and car) thing was wrong first I noticed it until someone pointed out the rule... So I was mentioning that and then decided to double check it was right and so on and so on...
Oh, so true. u_u That's the exact reason why my family is moving to Colorado, haha. But gotta admit, San Jose is quite nice...

I'll be going dressed up as a Vahzilok surgeon (er, a short, cute, female version ). |

The Guide to BURN
Jeebus, that's some incredible stuff there!
Also, whereabouts in Colorado? Not trying to stalk you or anything, but just hoping (for the sake of your nose) that it's not Greeley.
Cashoo - They both came out fantastic. Extremely niiiice job!! Just...wow!
Pyro - Great Dr Vahz button there! I thought you were buttoned out But then again I can see how Cashoo's art inspires!

OMG, you're going to go crazy from boredom there. o.O
Go as a Meat Doctor! LOL |
I was actually contemplating going as a meat doctor, but I'm not a big fan of bald caps (and no way would I shave my head ), and I don't have the time, money, or materials for the tools coming from behind her. I'm not even sure if I'll be able to make the skull/spine/ribcage part for the Vahzilok surgeon. I'm already spending a huge amount on the ticket and hotel alone!

Ish? :7 *points at the dA stamp in the sign* See Kai art there for ref, my hair is black and blue and short, I should have my wings by then by the super awesome Uberkio and always my little yellow glasses, though I'm waaaaay not in any shape to be wearing midriff tops. Depending on how my experimentations with screen printing go I may or may not have a nice black camp shirt printed with The Cape Radio on the back

Seconded. Also if you're moving into one of the towns near Denver you may have someone willing to help you get a meet and greet for that area going.
<.< >.> What are you looking at me for? |
I'd be about an hour away from Denver, so kinda close...I guess? lol
Yeah, what he said. Plus, if you actually live in the town, there's the smell of the meat factory. I had teh unfortunate experience of working across the street from said factory.
That said, I've never heard anything bad about Colorado Springs!
Meat factory wouldn't bother me that much, but manure....augh. I'll make sure to steer clear of Greeley then!
just a bust for Maynia:
And something non-COH, Freaky Fred from Courage the Cowardly Dog (Which is an amazing show, too), translated into my style.

Good job Cashoo. You have successfully made a creepy cartoon character ten times creepier.
Wow, that is good stuff... I'm mesmerized by the lighting in particular.
Oooo, getting fancy with the transparent background.
So I gets back from doing Stuff™ and this is what I finds. Holy carp that's pretty, lass!
[/scotsMay]
Seriously though, awesome so very much. Impressiveness!
Character references! Artz! Whatnot!
Great job! I love the lighting!

Very nice work on the Masked Shrike, your bold use of color always treads teh line but somehow you pull it off nicely.
That Dr. Vahz is impressive for a speed-anything. The use of up-lighting and the way he has his head turned really add to the piece... it's like he just noticed you out of the corner of his eye (and now your screwed lol) but hasn't turned his complete attention to you yet. All the reds and greens and haphazzard stitching make the meatsuit look angry if that's even possible lol.
Some fine work.
Sidenote: For some reason this thread refuses to open in Firefox and even IE (which I had to switch back to teporarily to post this) is glitchy with this thread... anyone else having this problem?
It's not any one comp as I've tried it on 4 and all have this issue... there are like 3 threads that all have this same issue I just get a white screen and a strand of numbers for the address tab. weird
Thanks for the comments! I dunno who I'm gonna draw next... *hasn't looked yet*
Glad you like it, Maynia!
ChristopherRobin Yeah, VexXxa also has the same problem. Not sure what's going on.
Beautiful work -- as ALWAYS -- Miss Cashoo! (*huggles*)
My first impression of Fred was "Who invited Willem DaFoe into this thread?!"
I love Miss Maynia's glowing green eyes!

Nice work on Maynia.
Between the Vahzilok of this thread, and the possibility of a steampunk sg starting up on virtue, I've been somewhat inspired to combine the vahzilok and clockwork into one Frankenstein-like abomination. Been working on a costume, but for possibly the first time find myself frustratingly limited by the costume options.
Definitely keep up the great work.
Pyro That's cool
