Yeah, not likely.
Also, good to see mod post. Good to see certain things covered in there.
Now! This is it! Now is the time to choose! Die and be free of pain or live and fight your sorrow! Now is the time to shape your stories! Your fate is in your hands!
Flea's gonna petition meh for giving positive rep!

The whole argument about Billz sig is ridiculous. It doesn't look like anything inappropriate unless you are looking for it to be. All I see it a snip of good art.
By the way, I am cooler than all of you because I have more ooooooooo
you don't find anything questionable in a scantily-clad woman being graphically impaled?
That sounds HOT

It's quite pathetic, really. Were it an actual picture of a woman actually being impaled, then you might have a case. As it is, it's obviously a depiction of two completely fictional characters in a fictional environment.
I could go on with my opinions of such people and their easily offended sensibilities, but it would bring a mod-smack upon me the likes of which I've never dreamed.
Be well, people of CoH.

They all laughed at me when I said I wanted to be a comedian.
But I showed them, and nobody's laughing at me now!
If I became a red name, I would be all "and what would you mere mortals like to entertain me with today, mu hu ha ha ha!" ~Arcanaville
HA! More rep lost due to my sig. I love it. Before I know it I'll be in the red because of the easily offended masses.

The original of your sig is pretty spectacular.

I find it highly disturbing that so many humans seem incapable of differentiating artwork from reality.

if you are claiming that one can't legitimately find something constituted by fictional entities objectionable, then i hope you could explain why it is that we shouldn't be offended by something like the animated rape of a fictional child
pathetic is a great word to describe people who don't share your standards

Art is supposed to create a reaction, this is true. However, to censor ANY art because of that reaction is the height of ignorance. I've seen works that made my stomach turn. I applauded it for the artist's ability to do his/her job. I didn't spit on the artist or the work.
EDIT: To put it another way, any drawing of any event, no matter how grotesque we may find the act it *represents,* is still nothing more than lines on paper or graphical representations of 1s and 0s. If you can't separate reality from fiction, there's no help for you.
Be well, people of CoH.
I'm still puzzled about the fact that I am getting negative rep whose comments are COMPLIMENTS. WTH? It's like the new math...
And cheers for seeing mod presence on this thread, and redname confirmation that truly flagrant rep comments will be modsmacked.

You go on being offended by whatever you desire to be offended by. Don't expect me to understand it, don't expect me to sympathize with it, don't expect me to think highly of you for it.

a piece of art that offends my moral sensibilities may indeed be an amazing work due in part to the feelings of repugnance it elicits, but this isn't about the ethics of aesthetics, this is about appropriate context
as mentioned before, the forum as a whole has no knowledge of your character's backstory or the story behind the picture itself, so right off we're missing a lot of the information that would be relevant in correctly interpreting the work
what we're left with is an arguably gruesome image just laying around in a message board for a t-rated game and you want to claim that anyone who raises an eye over the content is a easily-offended and incapable of separating reality from fiction
you're confusing the issue

This is a game where we violently dispatch enemies. many of them scantily dressed females.
No other context is needed. If my sig art is inappropriate for anyone, then they shouldn't be playing this game.
I'm not confusing anything. You're making up a BS argument because you don't like my sig art. To which I gladly say, tough noogies.
Be well, people of CoH.
the game is as violent as a saturday morning cartoon show
your sig is, you know, more so
and i think extra context is needed to make that picture more than your character violently killing someone
Be well, people of CoH.
Wow and i thought us EU players were the ones who argued a lot

@Damz Find me on the global channel Union Chat. One of the best "chat channels" ingame!
No context? My forum name is billzbubba. An obvious takeoff of Beelzebub. My avatar is a devil easily made with the CHV costume generator. I'm on the CHV forum. The signature picture is obviously the same character as the avatar.

Not that many - mostly, we're punching buff guys in uniform - with the occasional leather manskirt thrown in
