How did you do during Double Spam... er XP

I got double the RMT spam that I usually get on a weekend and I made way more than double the inf I make on a typical week end.

I haven't been exerting myself much on the market lately but I had 350 commons in the 30-40 range when Double Spam.... er XP started and I created another 250 with drops I got along the way. I had a few non-common enhancements created and it hasn't all sold quite yet, but I pulled in at least 600,000,000 on that alone.

My wife started her first VEAT right before 2xspam.... er XP and was playing around on the red side market. She was selling level 35 commons exclusively and they were going for 750,000 to 1,000,000 each. Her baby Widow started out with nothing, didn't get any inf from me or from her other vils, and ended the weekend as a level 21 VEAT with 150,000,000 inf.

How did you all do?

So far, I've gotten a new FF/archery to about 25-ish, made at least a 100 mil so far, and completed a 42 hour run on the Dr Q taskforce :3

I massively underestimated just how much I could make, so I underestimated the bleed rate from my stockpile. I stocked up 50 commons, figuring I'd be tided over the weekend, with lots of people doing the same thing, posted at a modest 5% higher than I normally do post them (which is still a reasonable price compared to SOs of the same level).

I was selling them for three and four times their list price, and had emptied my stockpile in the first two hours.

Oh, poor naive Talen, who has not tried crafting on DXP before.

This is why I'm throwing tons of salvage bids up to continue supplying em.

I went for Massive Greed and it didn't work out. Much.

I _did_ sell a few [at least 20] common salvage for a million each and a few [at least 10] common IO's for over a million each.

And I crafted and flipped a regenerative tissue for a 25 million profit.

But other than that it seemed... less ridiculous than other 2XP weekend. It's like the AE frenzies took the edge off.

Edit: My numbers might go up as I find little caches scattered around the place. Also, the "norm" has gone up so a 500,000 inf level 35 common IO doesn't stand out as much as it used to.

I was turning a brisk trade crafting common IOs on my new batch of characters in their 20s, and watching them evaporate within the hour on four of them, when I got stopped dead in my tracks.

One of my characters had a Luck of the Gambler +Recharge!

This was especially odd, since I'd just been duo-ing radio missions, so it must have been one of those very rare Pool C or D drops you occasionally get from bosses these days.

Sold it straight away, 50-odd million in my piggy bank, cha-ching! Begrudgingly went back to crafting for 3-5 million per batch of fiddly work after that..

I purchased an Absolutely Amazing enhancement for 45 million and flipped it for 200 million. I didn't even check to see how my other toons did. Got to wait for the maintenance to end.

Sold all the purples on my main hero marketeer.
Crafted and sold over 300 common level 50 endurance reduction redside.

Leveled all my lowbies into their 20's or 30's.

Absolute Amazement.

I made around 750M on villains (which I played primarily) based on sales of rolled/created LotGs, smaller high-volume set IO crafting, and a couple of crappy purple drops I got on a TF. (Why, oh why, did I have to get two of the lowest value sets you can get the time I get two purples in one mish?)

I could have made a killing buying and crafting L50 LotGs, and I saw that coming. But I am already doing really well on my villains, and it made me lazy.

Since I was away from monday-friday, I didn't want to make any special plans. I did leave a bunch of overpriced goods up on my Virtue characters, but it was mostly business as usual.

Earnings were about 500 million from my regular niches, not including any sales of said overpriced goods. I don't expect them to sell until the newly powerlevelled 50s start shopping over the next week or so.

Also got my Scrapper 24-33 and a new MM 1-26.

It was a quiet and mostly pleasant DXP.

Villian side I almost doubled my inf onhands during the weekend, Hero side i was not as agressive on but still made able 1/2 bill between a few toons.

I made almost nothing. No one bought my slightly-below-last-5 listed purples and PvP IOs villainside, and I did nothing to prepare heroside. I did have a few lowbies that I rushed through a dozen or so levels, and they bought raw components for Resist and Defense common IOs. They used those to earn their starting millions, although I don't think any of them went over 4M. I just didn't have much time to prepare nor to play this week-end.

Sold a few PvP IOs I've had sitting around and made probably about 500 mil off those alone (half redside, half blueside). Spent most of the rest of my weekend leveling characters (9 new 50s) and rolling gold and bronze rolls with the tickets, and even ran a few normal TFs (Kahn TF, ITF, STF). Didn't get any of the "big three" but I got some decent drops and some of my older stock cleared. Might've made about 800 mil to 1 bil total this weekend.

<QR> Bored with the game, couldn't bring myself to play this weekend, especially with how packed it was for the 5 minutes I did log on. Looking forward to CO and downloaded DoW2 for half price on Steam this weekend. Darn good game, that!

I'm highly amused that people still use <QR>.

I did my usual lazy trick of filling up base storage with el cheapo crafted generics I picked up in the weeks before 2xp, then selling them all off for GROTESQUE PROFITS while the frenzy was hot.

I also moved quite a few of the 'good' set IO recipes I crafted and stockpiled during the midst of the Meow frenzy.

Didn't have much time for actual gaming, alas. I got my plant/fire up to 32 and finished off leveling a few characters that were close anyway.

I suppose it doesn't matter now that it doesn't show who you're replying to unless you quote. Still, some people will nitpick ANYTHING you do on teh intarwebz so it's best to be 100% clear.

Finally got the one unicorn I’ve never gotten on a drop, the Miracle +Recovery. Got all the levels I wanted and actually made quite a bit of money. I’ll admit to being a little surprised. I was expecting to just stock up this weekend, but I was still able to move some stuff at a respectable profit.

I was going to try CO, but the promise offered in issue 16 and GR makes me think I"ll hold off on exploring other venues of entertainment. Although, I don't think anything will keep me from SWtOR when that comes out.

Still lots of sales to go in the "2xp weekend" market event. Usually the week or two after is people spending Inf on all their new fancy high level toons. Respec recipes are at an all time high. I guess it's time for me to unload my boatload of them

Only one boat? It must be an aircraft carrier sized boat then!
