Scrappers United - Roll Call

With the collective merger of the greatest minds to see the "City of" Universe at the full disposal to the entire playerbase, I figured it was time to get a real Roll Call going so we're all nice and familiar with any potentialities out there. I know that US Side has its list of "unique terms", and I became curious what we may be gaining out of being combined with the EU side as well.

Everyone will, of course, be responsible for defining their own origin terms, as such off the top of my head like Wernerscore, Arcanatime, The Bill Z School of Fighting. But what else is everyone known for? Granted some EU'ers (despite inability to post) have lurked US Side, and I'm sure vice versa, but not everyone.

May seem a bit second grade, but I got stuck doing this even at a Job Intro/Training Night with people from 18 to 55, so no one is able to avoid the dreaded "Tell us a little about yourself, we'll go around the room and introduce everyone! ~clap excitedly~"

...I'm more just curious.

Hello, my name is Santorican and I am a scrapper adict. I've been free 1 day 2 hours and 26 mins

I love working on builds trying to max/min aspects of people's builds, my heart is with regeneration, dark armor, and shields currently. I am also a blaster fan I love fire, ice, and archery. I cannot play any support ATs as I am not your support kind of dood.

I won't come up with any snappy names or titles, seems too narcissistic to me. I'm best known for Dark Armor knowledge/experience and I'm likely the most vocal Cloak of Fear advocate.

I am a HUGE scrapper fan. I can't play any other AT for extended periods of time without a massive craving to switch to a scrapper and go ape **** on every mob in sight. Dark Armor and Will Power are my favorite secondaries, though I usually steer clear of Will Power discussions.

I am Silverado and I am an Honorary Scrapper. Though I do have my own DM/SD Scrapper capable of taking multiple AVs simultaneously, my heart is with the support ATs. The Scrapper forums are still my favorite of all though, since the community here shares my mindset of striving for excellence.

I gets my own school of fightin? Woot!

As mentioned, the scrapper forum is my main home because those that frequent here seem for the most part to be far more into helping each other with builds and tactics than with whining and cranking up the flamewars.

It seems we are bound together by the joy of carnage and relish assisting others in their quest to add a little chaos to this virtual world we so enjoy hanging out in.

(Does Firefox spellcheck not work on these forums?) EDIT: Seems to fail in the quickreply box, but not in advanced post box.)

Anyway... there's good people here and I'm excited to see our numbers swell and our minds expanded by the inclusion of our cousins from the land that actually has some history.

Kill hard out there!

Be well, people of CoH.

I am Princess Darkstar and a Warshade player by heart but my latest character is a scrapper (DB/WP) and from reading these forums I am slowly converting and plan a scrapper for my next character as well (Elec/Shield).

I was an avid reader of the US scrapper section when I was on the EU boards and look forward to picking the collective brains of what are the most helpful section of players I have seen in any game

I'm MunkiLord and I'm not really known for anything(unless being an *** on occasion counts). I love Scrappers. My favorite is MunkiLord my DM/SR.

I'm Umbral, and I'm a number cruncher (sometimes called number guru). I enjoy build design, optimization, and calculation no matter what AT. I tend to remain with Scrappers but have done a lot with Defenders, Blasters, and Tankers. Where Scrappers are concerned, I'm exceptionally knowledgable where */regen and dm/* are concerned, especially where they are together. I've got strong opinions on balance and needed changes and have no compunctions with attracting the Baleful Gaze of the Mods if you're being an *****.

I like to think of myself as the domesticated ***-hole of the Scrapper forums: I'm generally nice and helpful, but if you're a disrespectful ***** that makes no attempt to alleviate his own idiocy, don't expect me to treat you with the least amount of respect (though I'll still let you know how you're wrong).

Hi, I'm Pipe_42 and although I have never done anything like Arcanatime and such, I'm very much into the Scrapper mindset, so hello one and all and see you on the streets.

Hello US scrappers I have "lurked" on the old board for years.
But finally because of the merge I can post.
I have a few scrappers but my true love is with defenders, I just enjoy the scrapper boards and their banter the most.

Hi I'm Broken Prey, I somewhat of a number cruncher, not as good as Umbral and Werner but I'm working on it. I love making builds and play around in Mids. I post mostly in the Scrapper Forums because it is my fav AT and every seem to like to help every one else.

Hello Europe!

Hmmm, well, I play a few blasters and tankers and other ATs, but I post almost exclusively to the scrapper forum, and my expertise is only in scrappers. I've been playing since beta, but my first post was a couple years ago as the first Regen to complete the Rikti War Zone Challenge. AV soloer, number cruncher, DPS spreadsheets, survivability spreadsheet, enjoy unlimited-budget build optimization (falling a bit behind here due to a recent case of altitis), generally looking for the hardest targets to take down solo without temps or inspirations, almost exclusively solo or play with a couple friends, so have almost no task force experience and can be surprisingly newbish in larger groups.

Hello, scrapper forum!

I'm Jeff Vader and somewhat of a number-cruncher. I've been playing for 42 months and mostly now on my Claws/Regen Scrapper. Anyway, I'll be posting here frequently as Scrappers are my favourite AT!

My favorite side is redside, my favorite Archetype is Dominators, yet my main is my MA/SR/WN Scrapper.

The two basic truths of Super Reflexes:
1. Softcapping is overkill in PvE (especially on a */SR/WN Scrapper).
2. There's no such thing as too much Defense in PvP. In fact, stack all you want, it still won't matter at all.

Hello, i'm Celidya. Despite the fact i couldn't post there i've been reading the US forums on a daily basis for more than a year now, mainly because the euro forum skin used to hurt my eyes with all the bright and white colors.

I'm a scrapper at heart although i play almost all archetypes, and love defenders as well. The most fun i have in this game is being the last survivor after a team wipe and fighting tons of mobs all by myself. Yay for scrapperlock ! And i'm well known by my friends to have scrapperlock on ANY archetype.

I used to be addicted to soft capping defense but i like some constant challenge so now i'm back to either soft capping archetypes that shouldn't be soft capped, or play /dark armor scrappers.

Very happy to be there by the way. I like this community here as much as the french one on our little server. Maybe even more.

Since there are some new boards I decided to maybe post some more. Normally I lurk, taking in as much info as possible. To my old friends on freedom I'm known as ER, since it's my old main, but you'll probably see me sitting or killing on my Fire/Shield scrapper Rokujou.

Haven't had a toon that has been so efficient in such a wide array of fields, from taking out an entire spawn in an instant, take charge as the role of a tank, and do some pretty crazy single target DPS.

I like to play around in mids looking for more ways to improve things or be more efficient. Oh and I'm known to be a real a-hole in game. I even own a SG named The Jerks.

Looking forward to seeing everyone working together to push scrappers beyond what it's already capable of.

Oh, and I'm really known for doing whatever the h*ll I want, whenever the h*ll I want on my scrapper, whether it be on a 54 boss farm, TF, or some random team. People get mad at me at times when I'm supposed to act as a stand in tank. >.> Damn I love Scrappers.

Scrappers are about doing whatever the h*ll you want, whenever the h*ll you want.

I'm one of those folks that plays 'em all. I've tried every AT (except VEATs). I'm a blaster (my main is an energy/energy/force Blapper that learned alot from scrapping) and controller player at heart but my third 50 was my Dark/Regen and my signature character is my BS/Shield Scrapper.

I make acerbic comments from time to time but I tend to help tighten up builds for folks that have less than optimum powers that they "have to have" in their builds. I try and squeeze a little more power or utility out of their basic frame work without making drastic changes.

Ehina here. French player who migrated from Euro to US servers, half for the boards, and half for a larger playerbase. Kind of a brutish scrapper, scrappers and brutes being my favorite archetypes. I'm usually more of an AoE centric player than a single target junkie : Spines/, SS/, Elec/ are my specialty. Spending most of my forum time between the brute and scrapper forums (posting more on the brute forums, because here you dont have alot much too say once Werner, Umbral and Nihilii have posted in the same thread). Total time spent on Mids + the boards being probably higher than the time actually spent in the game

Fierce defender of the AE vs all the doomsayers. Proud fan of CoX in a world of average WoWish mmos. Retired marketeer once I decided that purples arent worth all the extra money. Enemy4life of i13 PvP. Proud member of CLAWS4BRUTES (half because I wanted it, and half by solidarity with JDouble^^).

My main scrappers, all IOed out, are : Spine/invuln, claws/sr, fire/wp. All on Freedom, NA... (grrrrr let me get rid of that stupid NA after my name btw !).

I like big CRITSand I can not lie.
You other brothers can't deny
That when a Scrapper walks in with an eight foot sword
And slams it in your face
You get sprung!
Wanna pull up Tough
Cuz you notice that AV was plus four
Deep in the midst of battle
I'm hooked and I can't stop Scrapping
Oh, baby I wanna Scrap with ya
And take your agro
My homeboys tried to warn me
But that crit you got
Makes me so jelous
Ooh, press that Build Up
You say you wanna get in my group
Well use me use me cuz you aint that average Scrapper

I'm more or less known as the Scrapper cheerleader. Giving the usual "Rah rah rah, go Scrappers!" around here. I don't really contribute much except for a build here, a character theme there, and etc. I enjoy hanging out in the Scrapper forums the most because of the camaraderie and lower drama. My favorite Scrapper is probably my Fire/Fire which I feel like I'm the only Scrapper to have as their favorite, hahah. My current Scrapper being played is Hand of Artemis, which will probably be my first character to cross over in Going Rogue.

Been playing Scrappers for years and years, been around this game even longer. My first character I seriously played was a Blaster. Half of the server I exclusively play on is just Scrappers, most of them 50's.

I'm not a numbers cruncher, I read this forum much like I read the Market forum, to get good information. My first character was a scrapper; I have 2 level 50 scrappers and another at 45 and another at 40 and another at 38. I have a 50 brute as well. Also while my first 50 was a tanker, I was fire/axe... relatively high offense (especially back before the burn nerf) and relatively low defense (well... vs everything except s/l/fire). A very scrapperish tanker combo, in my mind.

I have friends who've told me I'm the greatest scrapper they've ever played with. I hate to think what that says about the other scrappers they've played with... but I do know how to run forward and hit buttons until everything dies.

This is certainly awkward. Some info on me:

I play on Freedom, and mostly play on my main hero, Amadaeis, a Fire/Regen Scrapper. I'm a consistent PvP'er and know about many things related to PvP, for Scrappers and other AT's. I can help somewhat with PvE builds, but I specialize in PvP builds.

If you have any questions regarding PvP, whether it be Scrappers or not, feel free to ask or shoot me a PM.

Been around for a while. Didn't let GDN/ED/AV Regen rates slow me down that much. I asked around to see who was supposed to be the hardest AV and SG mates told me it was the one in the Shard TF with the hazy room. (Even I forget his name now) So I grabbed a Shivan, Chem Nuke and trudged through the TF until I got to the end. (Before those Fancy IO's every showed up) Hit record and made quick work of the poor guy in well under 2 minutes. (I remember Tyrant went down in like 1:23) A few months later it was determined that the temp powers were way too powerful so I went back to inspiration loads and drawing the fights out longer. Still no IO's just lots of tier 3 purples, oranges, and reds.

In the mean time I was sweeping the Storm Palace on my DM/Regen and the RWZ on my Spines/Inv. I know it wasn't the original RWZ challenge but I remember having a Vid up of herding two +2 Rikti Spawns up to mow them down, getting aggro'ed by a bunch of even Con DE boulders as I fell under the aggro cap. Fights were intense without things like +20% defense to all types or 50-70% global recharge or Numina/Miracles for +recovery.

With IO's I got my Dm/Regen up to 35% Melee defense and did some fun things with that for a while. (Even used MoG when it still sucked) With the old change of SP/Smite/Sp/MG with Siphon life used as a heal (1 acc 5 doc wounds at the time)

Since then I took off and branched out into just about every other blueside AT. These days I still solo AV's on my DM/Shield, it seems a little too easy looking back at earlier attempts. All that global recharge, defenses, recovery, hit points, etc etc.

Drifted from scrapping to the market forums for a while there. Made a billion in 30 days back when magic salvage still sold for 3-5 million a pop.

Anyway, still enjoy my scrappers, but on a team you are most likely to find me playing some form of support toon. Probably no real firsts... maybe the first to Solo a Shard TF AV and record it. (But by today's standards wasn't really soloing)

*edit* Oh! Not sure who else has done it, but have tanked tower buffed LR on my DM/Shield with no outside healing. That was pretty awesome.

It's a lot easier now than it was 2 years ago when I started doing it. Any type of Scrapper is capable of doing it. Which means, any type of tanker is capable of doing it. Not just with no outside healing but with no outside buffs as well. I can get through an all Scrapper STF tanking all the AVs without dying once.

Scrappers are considerably much more of a team AT now more than ever. They can from kiting AVs with confront provide considerable survivability for teams making it so that neither a defender or controller is needed. It is much easier now.

All Scrapper MoSTFs is entirely possible.

I do tanks mainly.

Edit: I reckon the minimum amount of Scrappers (not teamed) to do a Mothership Raid is 4. 4 getting a bomb each and then cleaning up the middle. Best fun. Try it without dying at all and try to even get down to just 3. Pylons have to be done by the scrappers doing the raid only as they count.
