i find it unlikely that we'll be playing GR on live this year to be honest, so when was the last time we were given all the info so long before even beta testing.

They will be aiming for GR to launch around or just after the time that CO goes live.

Ah yes, nothing like feeling something moist and slimy slithering down your back, or wrapping around your ankle or tentatively testing your... nether regions.

We should hang out more

And OT lets hope that GR is as good as its shaping as the last batch of issues' content is nothing that hasn't been exhausted in a day or 3. Although I still find myself doing things in RWZ. I just pray GR gives us all the content we haven't had since then. If it isn't I can see there being many unhappy peeps as the vast majority of people I know ingame are rapidly losing faith as we lack anything new to do - we need C O N T E N T not just fluff.

*prays GR doesn't turn into a zeppelin full of custard and rocks* (i.e. a messy flop of epic magnitude)

I should introduce you to my Warshade. She needs money for fancy IOs and isn't too fussy how she earns it.

You want happy finish?

In which case that would mean that i16 will be here soon™, as they said it would arrive before GR and CO has a release date of 4/09?

Originally I think GR would have come first, but they dropped a clanger by letting the news slip prematurely. Then CO announced they were putting back to September - so GR is almost certainly ready to test now, and they have time to tweak it but can divert a lot of resources to I16 as a kind of double whammy to welcome Champions Online.

I'm guessing there aiming GR for just under a month after CO hits

My theory being people will pick CO up for at least the free month that will more than likely come with the box so if you want to grab them back you want to be releasing the new shininess just in time to grab them back before the months over but not anuff time that they can pic up GR play it for a bit and still return to CO within that free month.

That's what I think too - between the launch of CO and the holidays would be perfect placement.
Some I16 fun around the CO launch wouldn't be too bad though

Isnt CO going out in like under 2 months time? Surely for a huge expansion beta would've already started by then. Late november/start of the year be my best guess. Issue 16 in 2/3 months i'ld say.

they also wanted I15 to go live on the anniversary we all know how that went right and plus id much rather play it in January or February bug free then a buggy mess in September but then the thing is none of us really have any idea when it'll be out

I know exactly when it will be out.

When they release it.

The optimum time to release GR, would be a month and a half after CO's release, for three reasons-

1) It will be around the highest point of initial subscribers to CO unsubscribing.

2) It is the time when people begin to start Xmas shopping. (This is especially true if it there is an edition with CoX itself packaged.)

3. Any major bugs that make it into live can be fixed before Thanksgiving and Xmas.

Yeah, I think that might be the timeframe they're aiming for.
Does anyone know the average time of an Issue going live after the Issue overview first comes out?
That way, we could work out roughly when I16 might be coming out.
