Bug with Masterminds in the new Villain SF
Known Bug with MM's Temp since test....
Really? Found nothing about it in the Test Server or Technical Issues... Could you point me to where this has been discussed before?

My understanding, from what I can piece together from the US fora, is that MMs are supposed to get the 'anchor' power (as the heroes who deal finishing blows to the other 4 AVs do blueside) which stops Reichsmann legging it to the machine to regen but they're not getting it, or it doesn't work.

Hi, Im Bruce Harlick, aka Horatio, the guy who was in charge of the Reichsman Task Force and Strike Force. Thank you for the comments and feedback on the TF & SF. Id like to take the opportunity to respond to some of them and let you know our some of our intended responses.
To start, there is a difference in the challenge of the final fight in the SF and TF. The TF fight is much trickier and takes longer. We didnt address that when assigning the initial merit values for the SF. We will be increasing the merit award for the Strike Force to 30 merits later this week. As time goes by and we collect more data on how long it takes groups to complete these arcs, well likely be adjusting the merit rewards further.
There seems to be some confusion as to the use of the dimensional ground ray in the final fight of the Task Force. Before Reichsmans hit by the ray, he is in a phased state and is running a rather nasty debuffing aura. When he is hit by the ray, it grounds out some of his power and he returns to a normal state and his aura is shut down. This will persist for the duration of the fight. The dimensional grounding ray isnt intended to be used at specific points in the fight; it should be used early on, and one hit will do.
On the villain side of things, our intent was to try to do something a bit different for the end fight. As has been previously stated, we wanted to do a gadget fight; something that was more than just hit the bad guy until he fell over. And we wanted to encourage teams to include different ATs, to help shake up some standard team compositions. Certainly, the end fight is more difficult without having each of the appropriate ATs on the team, but it is still doable. Each of the temp powers is intended to make stages of the fight easier. There is no one golden solution to solving the fight; by including some or all of the ATs that can take advantage of the various temp powers, you can approach this battle using different tactics.
The Mastermind temp power is not working at this time; Castle has fixed that, but his fix did not go out with the release due to some build issues. This power should be working in a patch this week.
Switching voices, I am aware of the canon issues with the story. The problems are purely my fault; when I came up with the original flow for the story I was under some mistaken impressions on some events in the games history. While I did make some adjustments to the story due to the feedback from the training room, I didnt get all the details nailed down as best I could. Due to a tight translation deadline, I was unable to get final text passes into the build that was going to the Live servers, but rest assured Ill be doing my best to address them over the next week or so to bring the story of Reichsmans return in line with the existing history of the 5th Column.

So the MM is bugged and fixed, hopefully should see the patch applied soon, although I imagine the time is currently fixated on sorting the french/german servers.
Nice to see some kind of reply from the devs, and I do appreciate the merit increase.

Lol. i knew being the MM would cause us to suffer. Muahaha to my teammates.

SF is still do-able, but you need some Shivans and anything else you can throw at him, really. But, yes, will be a bit less "aargh" without Reichsmann's regen, which brings me back to the bad old days when one needed at least 2 /rads on the team just to get AVs down to what is now standard AV regen rates...

Of course we come in with 2-3 darks with huge -regen.. brutes and enough nukes and shivans to destroy this pathetic planet we live on. I dont like taking chances.

a team on Zukunft ended the Strike Force a few minutes ago with a MM in it.

Did it yesterday with a team of five (also Zukunft). Team consisted of the following:
Fire/Invul brute
Fire/Kin corruptor
Fire/Therm corruptor
Robot/Dark mastermind
Mind/Psi dominator (had to take that one for an I15 test ride )
As you can see there is no absolute need for bucketloads of debuffers. We did not use the security override against ambushing mobs and of course the MMs temp power was useless to say the least. We did throw two Shivans at him later in the fight to finish him off a bit more quickly, but at that point he was already on his way down, so it is doable without rockets, shivans and whatnot.
It was a SG team, so people knew how to work well together and Reichsman stood no real chance. Basically it was an exercise in endurance.
If the MM temp power had worked it would have been over a lot more quickly, that much I can say, but as it is it can be done with even PUG style team setups as long as the players know their stuff.

If it has eyes, you can blind it, if it has blood, you can make it bleed, if it has a mouth, you can make it scream.
There seems to be a bug in the Barracuda Strike Force that affects a team with Masterminds in it. In the 5th mission (the defeat Reichsman mission) all teammates get the temps from the machine, but the Mastermind temp power doesn't seem to function.
) were able to complete the Strike Force.
We tried to do the SF today with 8 ppl on team, with one being a MM. Everyone elses temp power worked, but not the MM's. I believe it was supposed to prevent Reichsman into going to godmode, but instead it did nothing. Due to this, our team (who had owned all the other AV's/EB's) couln't ever get Reichsmans hp below half.
Has anyone else suffered from this problem? We bugged and petitioned this, and with the assistance of GM Greg (tyvm!
