i just go and self stuff at whichever price is under the last price and only involves me pressing the 1 key if the last couple sold at 100 inf i stick it on at 11 if the last few sold at 200 i stick mine on as 111 etc etc.

Personally after a few runs I vendor all the level 50 Common IOs and non-rare salvage in Ouroboros, and sell the rest at Talos WW - starting with the priciest first, ending with the least expensive.

Priciest stuff usually goes up at [Average Sale History Price - 9%], cheaper stuff at 101/1001/10001 inf. I usually have several Pool A and B recipes up for 101 inf by the end of it, purely for "market plumping".

If selling your "cheap" recipes means someone else doesn't have to buy a Pool A with Merits then it's worth the extra hassle. The Merits they save might end up as an IO that YOU are looking for later.

I agree with the sentiment of ‘A market with plenty of supply is a healthy market’ – and for a long time I put everything up for 5 inf and took whatever would sell. However after many months of this I noticed that much of the ‘stuff’ I was selling could be over 10,000% more should I need to ‘buy it back’ as required.

The sad truth is that while many of us want to help out others with ‘small’ asking prices with a view to good community social intention there is a very low percentage of players who are ‘flipping’ prices (i.e. deliberately buying all of one particular item then immediately listing it with a much higher price).

In theory there is nothing wrong with this activity as the buyers agree to this new price before their purchase is finalised however in practice it stinks of the worst parts of a greedy capitalist – someone who doesn’t ‘create’ anything apart from massive wealth for themselves on the back of good intension from a socially aware player.

What is slightly thematically frustrating is that ‘stuff’ sold in stores seems to be immediately destroyed – sure you get inf for it but what happens to the item then?
If there is a fixed selling price at stores then shouldn’t there be a fixed buying price at the same stores? Not everything we buy in the real world is auctioned or has a negotiable price. Maybe these stores should have their own ‘supply database’ separate from the ‘open markets’ of the AH and BM.

To be brutally honest I’m losing respect for the AH & BM as a fair way of trading, the best way I’ve found of helping out friends and team-mates is if I get a decent drop to offer it to anyone who needs it. If I need something special I buy it with reward merits, as much as i13 mucked up a lot of stuff, merits remain a better system in my opinion purely due to the ‘fixed price’ nature of obtaining an item.

We went from not having an official in-game economy to having an overly complicated one that has at least 3 methods which don’t fully integrate with one another. I’m sure there are many ways of explaining why this is so however in my opinion it doesn’t enhance CoX’s once loved selling point to the casual MMOer or indeed to the those who are trialling the game.

That i dont like, non rare salvage is getting scarce in some cases ann are getting targeted by groups that buy the whole supply and sell them for 1000% the normal price.

Ouch... just trying to get 70 mil for one of my LOTG's was bad enough. I think I'd go insane trying to get 1 billion. Unless there's some crazy trick to it which has eluded me...

Merits.

Acquire them, trade them for precisely what you need and will take less time than farming for influence: 2 Quarterfield and one Positron allow you to pretty much pick whatever you want. Well, as long as you're willing to repeat TFs ad nauseum that is.

Well why people bother to deal with WW if they can sell it to the any store with a higher value?

[/ QUOTE ]

So that people can find the recipes they want.

If everyone does it it makes it easier for you to find the recipes you want.

Completely agree with this, with Merits as they are this is now even more important to me. I used to delete ones I knew wouldn't sell but now I know everyone has to try and carry the failing market

I put eveything I get into WW at 1 inf. Partially because I cannot be bothered putting the effort in to try to make huge profits from everything - and partially to help the world economy.

Recipes that didn't sell before I13 still don't sell now. Putting unsalable recipes on the market for 'free' wont solve anything.
If a recipe doesn't sell regularly for at least 10k (I have to draw a line somewhere) it either ends up deleted if my inventory gets full mid mission or sold to a vendor between missions.

How many people actually buy recipes/salvage lately? Im one of those lazy people that just go "meh 50 mill didnt work, lets try 60" on created IOs. I aint walking across the zone to create it when for a few extra mill i can buy a ready made one!
