VO:
We present I'm sorry, I haven't a blue. The antidote to Superhero MMO games. At the piano is DJ Zero and your chairman is Rockjaw.

ROCKJAW:
Hello, you join us this week in Independence Port, a fine city zone boasting a long and fascinating history. IP owes much to it's maritime heritage. By the 14th century the city was already trading with Spain, Portugal and Iceland with ships returning with fine wine, intricate lace work and frozen peas.

In the 18th Century Independence Port was the hub for industrial transportation. Barges, toed by horses would take supplies up and down the coastline and in to the city. They were later changed to steam power when it was discovered that so many of the horses drowned.

Earnst McGlider, the famous scientist, invented the fizzy drink here by forcing large quantities of Carbon Dioxide gass in to water. He gave it to many friends who trumpeted his achievements around the city.

Independence Port was also the home to drug addled rocker Rick Dangerous. Rick was the front man for the heavy metal group Daft Leper before starting out on a successful solo career. So Rick, if you're listening, that's who you are.

IP is also known for it's compliment of wild Cuckoos, track by the Cuckoo Society who have there base in the north part of the city. It's actually a branch of Icon but whenever they go out to lunch they come back to find that the Cuckoo Society has moved in.

And speaking of unwanted visitors trying to get something for nothing... lets meat the teams.

To my left is Ghost Widow and Lord Recluse and to my right is Sister Psyche and Statesman.

And carefully positioning her comfortable seat on my left hand and preparing herself for some hot scoring action, please welcome the ever fragrant, delightful Avatea.

Is that from the 1996 JLE Stratford Revision, Quin? If we're allowing rules from that, then I play Liverpool Street, Central Line without adhering to the Gurnsey Speed Restriction Rules (c1984), inducing the Signal Fault cascade across the westbound line, 1 turn duration.

[/ QUOTE ]

The 1996 Revision? No, I played Charing Cross under the 1987 revision that allows the double-strile move even with high LV on the Circle and Hammersmith and City lines. Unfortunatly, with no tokens on Moorgate, three tokens on Monument and the House of Lords currently out of session, the only legal move I can make here is...

Dollis Hill.

Damn.

Thank you very much. I did do some writing for the show and those jokes were some that actually got picked up, I think for the 2005 season. Of course I have re-written them for COH.

Well let's hope you get to write some more.

I can't help feeling that Humph's boots are a bit too big to fill, sadly.

He was such a nice guy. I'm not sure I would want to write any more to be honest, I was very sad to see him go. You probably won't get anyone with the same gravitas in such ridiculous situations as Humph. It would be nice if it wasn't gone for good though.

Clever, by my count that'd be an Interchange Failure on all one token stations on the Central... which includes Holborn. Dangit.

Tudor Hall rules state that by forefitting a movement initative on my next go I can call rendevouz on a hackney carriage. Destination? Picadilly Circus.

Assuming my interpretation of the W.S 1614 ammendment is correct.

There appears to be a few expert players about.

Fortunately none of them have made a move as yet so I am free to play a double loop, sidestepping the broken elevator trap left by Mr_Marvellous and boxing in Scarlet_Shocker with an insipred move to...

Finnsbury Park

(or kraPyrubsnniF as it is known to players of the game ciryL)

Ignore this, Didn't see Days had posted

OK, can still do what I wanted to using FedEx's Third Amendment:

Holborn

Posted

Dumping all my yellow tokens on Liverpool Street to prevent the irritating bifurication event at Bond Street when someone plays a left-handed station using the Third.

This also allows me to play Westminster, reversing the LV on the District and Circle lines.

Since we're not playing the watling street variation and I can change once.

Now, that would be a good idea. You'd have to include all the possible travel routes within zones though... Mmmm...

*blinks* No you wouldn't. Mornington Crescent has no rules, as such - a new version wouldn't need to be thought out. There are no rules. Just start saying stuff.

No rules? NO RULES? NO RULES?

Excuse me, I need to go and sit in a darkened room. We're British goddamit! OF COURSE THERE ARE RULES!

Except for the single most important rule, which you just broke, which states you must never, ever, admit there are no rules.

Only, anyone with internet access (so, all of us) could work that out in a moment.

Actually there are a lot of rules.

But nobody actually knows any of them

That 1996 JLE Stratford Revision is all I need.

Okay then!

We're playing Liberty Town. Richter and Cole 1932 Ruleset in play with the supplimentals Sherriden Etiquette Guide (1st Revision 1992), and a ban on the infamous King's Garment Crisis manouver that was shockingly played in the 1999 World Championships.

Mashu Bridge, placing a red token and declaring parthian.

Let's see what you ladies are made of.

Mornington Crescent has some very clearly defined rules as can be seen in NF Stovold's much vaunted Mornington Crescent: Rules and Origins.

In all seriousness, there are actually proper rules!
