I played for a year on the US servers without EU support. It worked just fine. In fact (apart from meeting a few people I wouldn't otherwise have met and slightly shorter loading times (different from lag)), I don't have a single complaint about my time on the US servers and wouldn't object to going back there if ever it happened.

And to be honest, I don't think I'd notice ANY difference at all, other than being able to post in a forum which many more posters than there are now.

I meant a scenario where the servers stay where we are, we stay where we are.... only with a lot less support and longer delays because its additional for any potential remote U.S administration.

Keep finding something to occupy my time till TOR is my main plan, I hope it will be here with the GoEH, but if what ever they do splits up the SG then EQ2 will probably last me till then at least

Oh and Merits are doom, a couple more months and the AH will be ripe for my "I Told You So" post, its close, but not there yet

Yes that could happen. However I am getting the feeling that the value for money thing will get skewed then. Right now I want that full US migration to happen now. I want this mess over and done with not this piecemeal by piecemeal thing.

So I guess that's what I think.

The solution I really want is for nothing to happen and the game just continue normally as it is, similar to the "Leave us alone you yanks" solution. But I don't think that's good for NC's profit, as a whole.

Well after 4 days of having my account cancelled without reason or warning I can imaginje what I'll be doing if the servers move....

I know now that the support team had bigger fish etc but to have your account cancelled 2 months in a row for uterly no good reason makes you a tad uncaring :/

This whole mess is a joke plain and simple. NCSoft have just killed any future they had in the superhero genre with this action. Roll on CO and DCUO!

Making somewhat non-essential (when it comes to the day to day running of the servers) personnel in a regional department redundant will kill the global franchise/IP? Okay then!

(Not that it doesn't suck for those losing jobs, especially those that I have met. I'm just making a point).

Personally ill wait and see what NC have to say when they give us a official statement

If it comes to a move to the US ill way my options if everything's transferred and i manage to keep the names I'm attached to ill stay if i don't well then ill more than likely leave.

If its here's a US account and 2 months subs i wont bother i don't want to start again and o certainly wouldn't be re buying all those extra slots and expansion packs I've purchased.

Also ill not be buying any slots or that in the near future till we get some form of solid answer

tbh if we do get moved they need to make an application where u can get slots and cozzie and ne other additionals where:

A) we get them transfered too
b) we get our money back

Yeah, that's just it. It's not about players on servers - it's about active subscriptions.

There will be quite a lot more people subscribing than actualy log in/play on a regular basis I imagine.

They probably have more active subs than active players, but yea i dont think theres that many.

I just hope its too many for them to just bin and [censored] us off with a new US account, rather than transfer us.

Ahem. You know me.Ever the realist. The servers on the UK and Europe are not particularily full. In fact, I would bet they are way below expectations.
Any one ever seen more than a green dot?

When the game takes a hit in the not too distant future, i very much doubt there will be a cost justification for keeping the EU open at all.

That's not doom. I'm sure we'll end transfered to the USA servers but still on defiant, Union etc.

I never understood why they split the servers like that in the first place. It was bound to cause complications further down the line, not to mention create unecessary running costs.

Shall I say this is only my opinion or can I trust my critics to read my sig?

the EU law of data transfer is gonna be the main problem and sticky area, but if they do an application where u can claim what u have (that abides with the Data Protection Act) and then they check it i see no real problem as this really cant be easily abused becoz of credit checks etc (whihc are done if ur on auto renew (not sure if the last bit falls foul of the DPA but its a suggestion none the less if it ges [censored] up)

It'll be the same reason that WAR, WoW etc... all have seperate server lists and community/customer support.
