SG Base Upkeep - Auto Payment

The title says it all, it's a pain having to go and pay the upkeep, why not have it paid automatically as an SG option.

Better just get rid of it.

iirc this was mostly just to give people an actual reason to log on to their toons in SGs every now and then.

Not needed anymore, if you don't log on once and awhile you lose leader priveleges. Perhaps they should use auto demote on other SG-levels as well.

It was never needed, that was always the case.

I don't see the point of the payment. Its like getting debt from the bugged entrance to the Cavern of Transcendance. An irritant. Seriously, why was it ever implemented?

Agreed. It's pointless at the moment.

The reason it's pointless is that any toons that are capable of raising enough prestige to equip a base barely notice this level of rent.

On the other hand, I've only got one base so it's just a minor irritant. If I had 30+ bases though it would be a major pain.

The fact is, why should Heroes and especially Villains have to pay 'rent' ?!
Heroes would earn enough to buy a suitable place, would already own something from family or friends, live in a handy alternate zone or get given a place as thanks for services rendered. Villains get it easy, they just have to smash enough heads together until they get what they want.

i pay enough rent RL, no need for virtual ones.
it's kinda a torture, you pay for the game every month, but you still have to WORK to pay your base rent, like paying for a lollipop but have to add the suger every minute.

As for autorent, I agree. I earn what little rent my base requires within a mission or two, so that's no problem. Having to log into an alt of rent-paying privileges and trekking to Atlas just to click three times gets tedious. If anything, shouldn't I be able to call them up?
