chat bug fix

I am NOT buggy...
Still seems quite big for a bug fix
Too many 50's to list here's a few you may know.
Slazenger, Area51, Area53, Area54, Erruption, Mind Plague, Thresher, Sheath, Broadside, Debt
I noticed this patch on test when I ran it last week and wondered about it then. A patch of such size would almost certainly have either fixed or new graphics, geometry or audio assets inside it, yet nothing indicated in the patch notes on the test server...
What's the build number, guys? Then we can see which patch notes it relates too...

Since there are no bugs in the game, one can only assume this is the stuff for Magic Booster.

Could also have something to do with DXP

Shouldn't be, DXP isn't a new feature and anyway it wouldn't have 80Mbs worth of data unless it added new GFX.
I'm betting on the new booster pack too. The timing is slightly risy though, I'd have thought they wouldn't patch before a DXP weekend just in case it borks.
I can't recall having to download a patch for previous DXP events?
On a side note, are the servers down? I can't seem to log in, or am I missing something?

might need one to take out base salvage drops from dxp
Maintenance window currently ongoing, so no logging on for the moment (probably just rebooting the servers ready for tomorrow).
DXP is a server-side option, and requires absolutely NO code installing on your game client.
My money says that this is the latest patches in the training room plus models, textures, powers etc for the upcoming Magic Booster Pack.

So a big patch, no patchnotes? Not even on US servers? Very curious indeed.

Actually, I think it makes sense. Patch it on Thursday, run it for a day, and if it's borked you can do a rollback in the Friday maintenance window.

Did we get that kinda large patch for Valkyrie or Cyborg boosters?
Maybe something to get ready us for Issue 14 and MArch (as I keep thinking MA as Martial Arts or some confusing it with Aardy. here is my solution )?

Aye. Assuming they spot the bork on the Friday.
Personally I like to give it two or three days afterwards where I'm available, just in case. I don't like upgrading anything on a Thursday just in case something subtle yet critical pops up and I lose my weekend.

Oh, not denying that Thursday is a weird day to do a patch. It is, and is almost unprecedented in my experience of CoX. They usually put these through on a Tuesday. The only thing that immediately springs to mind for such a rapid patch (considering when the last training room patch was changed) on such a risky day is an exploit fix as well.
