I've always thought that, but the chances of them actually DOING it are slim to none. Don't forget they're in a completely different time zone, and in the past, the devs have had their heads bitten off for posting over here.

If the powers that be decided to give the EU boards an equal dev presence as the US boards I'd expect it to be the last we saw of devs posting anywhere... 
It'd be nice, but heck - the devs could end up spending far too much time to even just scan the boards.

You think? Compared to the US boards the EU boards are a ghost town.
I read the EU boards to see what's happening locally on our servers, or what flamefest JW has kicked off today but if I want info on a particular build, badge, test server patch, pretty much anything, I go read the US boards.
When BAB did post here he was met with a torrent of abuse.
I seem to remember the OP being one of the main offenders.
I really should do something about this signature.

I'd honestly label that an occupational hazard and say "Welcome to the glorious world of customer relationship." The abuse BAB received, while unfortunate and not warranted, wasn't "enough to strike fear into the heart of any man and bring despair and famine to the land" either. I don't think it was anywhere near bad enough to be a valid excuse to stop posting in his professional capacity. (Besides, it's not like the US forums are all rainbows and sparkles either.)
The main problem was he signed on without a red name - because it's a separate forum and game, he needed to get an EU version of the game, and as he signed on in the evening in America, it was much later at night in Europe, and there were no mods around to make his name red, so quite a few people thought it was just a normal player pretending to be him as a joke, and they were not as welcoming as they should have been 
Bridger cleaned up the thread the next day, but BAB was never heard from ever again

As long as he doesn't start with a post along the lines of "Hey, I hear you could do with a s****r m***e over in Uroeland" he should be OK...
I remember the joys of the Bioware boards back in the hight of Neverwinter Nights. Now, those were developers who knew how to treat their clients, i.e. like the scum we are. Seriously, they gave as good as they got. Seemed to be company policy.
Sometimes, being told you are an idiot by someone who actually knows why you're an idiot can be very refreshing. It's something more companies should allow their developers to do, though I will also point out that developers tend not to be marketing people and so don't always say things the right way. We've had a couple of examples of that out of NCNC recently, such as the "I14 will contain only the MA" thing which came out of a badly phrased reply from a dev.

Do we think it's about time the Dev's i.e. Castle, BABs, Positron and so on (not the Mods) actual spent more time posting on the EU forums more as they do on the US forums.
