Thanks for the information, I will read and digest what has been provided any tips on which incarnates to take or what would be most beneficial for my objectives.
Thanks again -
After recently returning to the game from a break, I have started to get to grips with the new things that have been introduced since I've been away.
And would like suggestions, ideas or plane speaking this is want needs to be done to improve my Scrapper, he is a FM/SD which I play a lot as he is my main can solo PVE missions set to +1/x8 which I enjoy, but would like to be able to do the following:
* Solo AV's
* Solo missions at +2/x8 (or higher lvl if possible)
* Have a solid build (Hoping to have soft capped def Melee/Ranged & AoE)
Cost isn't a problem, so not that concerned at the expense!
The other side is the Incarnate Powers, have figured out how you acquire and convert, slot etc, but any pointers for my build would also be gratefully received, at present have Cardiac (Alpha) & Pyro (Judgement).
Well build below, please can you help?

Quote:Taken a look and taken the rech from Weave and added to AD, which boosts the DDR to 63%, which is an extra 3% is this worth it or can the extra slot be used elsewhere for something better? Thanks agian, was thinking of trying to take one the of recharges out of either Deflection, Battle A, CJ or Weave and using the extra slot to add a Membrane Exposure to Active Def. Going to check if this effects my soft cap def first, but do we think this could be worth it for the DDR?

Interesting build... Looks at my own http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=262155?
-
When you look at it like that I can see OwtS going in the build instead, looking at taking the LotG +Rech out of either Grant Cover or Phalanx Fighting, but unsure what to slot instead.
-
Quote:Thanks for pointing out the sixth LotG +Rech, had thought about picking up OwtS, but also thought the -Resist from Melt Armour would help out some, but can see your point.I'm not so keen on FM but...
First thing I usually check is your set bonuses and you seem to have 6 Lotg +rech so that sixth one isn't counting for anything.
Also Melt Armor is a very meh power, for a one slot wonder I would much rather you see you pick up OwtS, you will in all likelihood get more mileage out of that -
As the title mentions I'm looking at converting my present lvl50 FM/SD Scrapper in to a AV killer if it's possible, at present he is suited towards soloing and team play. But he is also my main toon and would like to be able to solo AV's when I come across them when soloing
Here is my present build, any advise, tips would be gratefully received.

Interesting reading as I'm in the process of leveling a Fire Brute myself, made a start on the build, but I have mostly played Scrappers. I was wondering what people usually try and aim for first on the Fire Brute? Damage, Res, Def (Positional, Or Damage Type), recharge?

Quote:No it is currently saying (US) after City Of Heroes? I'm sure I have seen somrhting on the forums where some other EU players were having problems and they just changed something in the programs folder where city of heroes is located. Are you running the EU client from the desktop icon or the launcher? Are you getting this? It should be just click to play.

We have done this, but for some reason the launcher still wants to launcher the US version and not the EU version, do we need to change someing within the program files? Add EU or something to a line?

Quote:This is what I got when I changed it to EU(my NA settings are above/up...see the difference? I did get an EU EULA with this option.

Quote:
- Run NCsoft Launcher
- Click File and then Settings
- Click Advanced tab
- Select Europe for Region and English for Language
- Click OK and restart your NCsoft Launcher
- Double click to run City of Heroes
Thanks for all the feedback folks, Alpha Wolf, these settings were already showing? Will get him to do a full system reboot then load up the launcher to see if this helps.
Thanks again folks -
Some help would be nice, my Dad recently bought a new computer and has reinstalled CoX and downloaded the Launcher, everything goes fine till he goes to log on to play... The Launcher says he has the US game? So he can't log on due to his password and username are not recognised, I We have changed the advanced setting to say Europe but without any luck, I remember reading somewhere that you need to change something in the launcer to be able to play the EU game. (Possible the properties? Not sure any help would be gratefully received.

As the title says I'm after some advise, I'm new to Dom's, I have recently made a Fire/Fire Dom and throughly enjoying him. I was wondering if anyone else has experience with these two power sets for a Dom, and can give me some tips or advise what to go for and what to miss out.
What should I be aiming for on a Dom as priority when it comes to my build, not looking for a build as thats half the fun is coming up with something then havinf the experts take a look and correct where needed
My goals are to be able to solo missions as well as be an effective team member when required, would like to be able to solo missions set to at least +0/x6 if not higher, so any help or advise would be gratefully received. -
Have the same problem, posed on the Training room forum and also tech forum without any luck so far

Well still not connecting, deleted the test folder and reset up again as per instructions on the forum but still no luck. Is there anyone else having the same problem?

Quote:Running 64 bit version, had deleted the cohupdater.prv with no luck, followed what "Tex" suggested in the techie forum, no error message now just not connectingProbably because the 32 bit version (x86) doesn't usually have (x86) in it's program file path?
Other option is to check there isn't already a cohupdater.prv there already, if there is rename or delete it, then update and the updater shouldn't get blocked with an internal file already exists error.
I say internal error, as we do not get offered the opportunity to overwrite this old version. -
Quote:I'm not 100% sure this will work, but it's worth a try.
In your C:\Program Files (x86)\CoHTest\ directory, I assume you have a cohupdater.eu.exe file. Make a copy of the file and name the new file cohupdater.exe.
So, you should have both cohupdater.eu.exe and cohupdater.exe in your C:\Program Files (x86)\CoHTest\ directory.
Now, you already have a shortcut to cohupdater.eu.exe with the "-test" on it. Try that shortcut again.
Tried as you suggeted Tex, at least not getting the error message, but it's not connecting? -
Tried both suggestions without any luck still getting the same message?? Anything else can think of?

Thanks for the replies, away from my desk top tonight but will give the suggestions ago tomorrow, I'm have it set already to run as the administrator but will give the others ago. Thanks again

Due to lack of replies on the EU Test forum, I have added this here for possible help!
Have been trying to get the test server up, I have followed the instructions to the letter from the instructions provided on the forum. But I keep getting an error message saying the following;
failed to rename C:\Program Files (x86)\CoHTest\cohupdater.exe to C:\Program Files (x86)\CoHTest\cohupdater.prv
Can anyone help, my OS is Windows Vista, based in the UK. -
