Help Please
Just a guess -
Go to the directory, see if you have cohupdater.prv already there. If so, rename or delete.
Make sure you're running as administrator, perhaps?
Take the updater out of that directory and move it elsewhere, anywhere really. Then create a new shortcut to it with the -test extension or else change the current shortcut with the -test extension to point at its new location. Then proceed as normally including selecting the test directory as the one to install in.
Don't count your weasels before they pop dink!
Thanks for the replies, away from my desk top tonight but will give the suggestions ago tomorrow, I'm have it set already to run as the administrator but will give the others ago. Thanks again
Tried both suggestions without any luck still getting the same message?? Anything else can think of?
I'm not 100% sure this will work, but it's worth a try.
In your C:\Program Files (x86)\CoHTest\ directory, I assume you have a cohupdater.eu.exe file. Make a copy of the file and name the new file cohupdater.exe.
So, you should have both cohupdater.eu.exe and cohupdater.exe in your C:\Program Files (x86)\CoHTest\ directory.
Now, you already have a shortcut to cohupdater.eu.exe with the "-test" on it. Try that shortcut again.

Tried as you suggeted Tex, at least not getting the error message, but it's not connecting?
I created a thread on the UE test forum when the sneak peak was opened up on this and gave the solution to it there - basically the same as Tex mentioned above.
The problem arises from the instructions to get on the test server which say to rename the updater - they should say to copy it.
Oh and test is currently down except when opened up for sneak peaks
Mind of Gaia lvl 50 Defiant's first Mind/Storm 'troller.
Deadly Doc 50 Dark/Dark Corr
and lots more on Pinnacle,Union and Defiant
Due to lack of replies on the EU Test forum, I have added this here for possible help!
Have been trying to get the test server up, I have followed the instructions to the letter from the instructions provided on the forum. But I keep getting an error message saying the following;
failed to rename C:\Program Files (x86)\CoHTest\cohupdater.exe to C:\Program Files (x86)\CoHTest\cohupdater.prv
Can anyone help, my OS is Windows Vista, based in the UK.
