it's the computers from the little platforms in teh tech items list, they've been slide under/into the floor from a lower floor so only the computers show and not the platform.

See, it's a damn shame you can't just have them as they are. I could make a fantastic control room out of those machines.

Yeah its about time they added a few more base items to the base editer there is so much thats in the game already that they cud add, i hope i14 brings more base items

Some very nice designs guys!

Slow field 'Water' effect is something I'm trying to use with dirt piles to create a stream at the moment across a room, with a bridge over it (floated off a wall)

Lycon, I especially like the stone heads and resurrectors, and your teleporter room. Great work.

Right, time to give out some picks of the Dusk Spiders base that I made. It's a very Arachnos themed base, so if you would bear that in mind when checking it out... it'll make more sense at least!

Okay, here's a picture of the overall layout of the base.
Overview

Let's start at the beginning then, with...
The entrance teleporter!

After that we have the conferance table which has both the rest and recuperation areas next to it!

Then we have the medical bay.

While you're over there, check out the power generator and the Magitech room where we study (dismantle) the arcane arts and steal magical energy and turn it into power!

Over the other side we have the teleportation room. In fact, we have both of them! This way we can go anywhere.
Leading off there are the office room of Commander Varrick and Arbiter Deus.

If you head to the top of the base you'll find the Control Room, along with the flyer hanger and armoury.

Oh yeah! Don't forget the workshop! Plus this angle too.

A lot of work that we (okay, by 'we' I mostly mean Emperor Lol) just might have to completely tear down and remake from scratch because the Fusion Reactor and Autonomous Expert System are apparently so huge not a single room in our current base will fit them. >.<

Thought I'd let you know how to create a placeholder text for a link on the forums

The format you used is basically as follows:

[ url = ]http://img3.imageshack.us/my.php?image=screenshot2009022101350.jpg]
http://img3.imageshack.us/my.php?image=screenshot2009022101350.jpg[ / url] (without the spaces in the bits in square brackets).

All you have to do is change the bit that's NOT in square brackets to whatever you want it to say.

So, if you want that to be "TP Room Picture 1", you need the following syntax:

[ url = http://img3.imageshack.us/my.php?ima...9022101350.jpg ] TP Room Picture 1[ / url]


Removing the spaces inside the square brackets (which I have only included so that it doesn't actually write the link) you get:

If I'm honest I'd say that the base won't change for the time being. We'll need 6.5mil to place both the AES and Fusion Reactor. That's PLACE. If you add in that the current base cost around maybe 6mil itself, plus the extra prestige we'd need to A) upgrade the plot size B) have bigger rooms in general C) Buy all the stuff it needs to make it look good and fill all this lovely extra space and make it look even better than before while still being practical as a base... well... it's not worth remaking it until we have around an extra 10-12mil prestige in our banks (not including what the base is currently taking up).

Simply put, I don't expect it to change soon. It's a fully operational, 100% RPable, great looking base which all it lacks that is 'wanted' (but not necessary) is a bunk room. And hey, with a bit of swapping room places that could easily be put up. I mean, we only need the AES and Fusion Reactor as a 'Oh wow those are awesomesauce on a stick' pieces. So yeah, I'm not touching that base until we have sufficient prestige to make something bigger, better and more kickarse than before.

Any tips on getting the two level thing to work, I cant get it, got the ramps done, just need the flooring.

I find the most effective flooring is actually lots of safe-fu'd counters. Put say... three safes on the floor and put a cabinet on top and just use them all as a floor. I did it with three floors in Mysticism's cafe (I'll post some pics soon) and it looks great. Only problem would be falling through them while in build mode, so grab a raptor pack or fly/hover.

Naturally they're counters, so you can place anything on them like it's another floor.

I got it, entrance looks good now, well good as I'll ever get it TBH.

I'll get a pic posted eventually, kinda taken over lead of my sg and its my first base creation.

got a trick from a friend:

1. the hight with saves

2. place the big white floor thingy on top (sorry, dont know its name in english ^^)

you can drag it in the same hight because it can be placet on itself.

3. delete it in the "curent room" section
