even WoW has animated hair
[/ QUOTE ]
It does?! I've never noticed it. Character models in WoW are horribly basic.
[/ QUOTE ]
Exactly - if even they have it, then it must be a basic human right
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, but they don't have it, so it's clearly not a basic human right.
[/ QUOTE ]
It is - I hear basic humans play WOW
[/ QUOTE ]
Let's face it, WoW is a game of cat and mouse, with one faction desperately grabbing on to any of their loot that they can before the Horde come and then they despreately take their armor and run into the hills only to be eaten by a ravaging tiger.
But any young humans left there are destined for doom, as the Horde with their l33t loot attemptes to phisically assault the young humans, and the young humans shout their cry for help*, when the Horde then screams their warcry^, and then a lvl 1 despreately stands up to the Horde and attempts to destroy the evil Horde only to be forseeing its own death.
And then the young humans still cower, and the Horde wreck their grown village, take away their crops, kill their cattle, and then the young humans scream once again, only to then be approached by a marauding RMT seller, the young humans plead for help, but all they get is a cheap-knock off for gold and their town is never rebuilt, their leader was earlier killed by a marauding tiger, and the previous town was destroyed by the Horde. The young humans are left on the green, green grass with no where to go but...CoX.

[/ QUOTE ]
What? You never played Guild Wars then? Or Age of Conan?
And yes, WoW has animated hair.

Surprisingly, because sorudo always refers to GW (and sorudo they are not the same game, so we won't have the same content...period).
But I demand animated hair come to pass eventually.

So does Lineage II. A game predating Coh and WoW. Still with awesome graphics as well. Also an NCSoft game btw.
Yeah the actual environment and setting is still very nice but a grapical update for character models with more polygons/bump mapping and some additional animations (walking, better kicks, object interaction etc) would be very worthwhile imo.
As long as there is a hair blowing in the wind emote. There is nothing finer than seeing a hero on top of a building, overlooking a city with their hair gently blowing in the wind.
Imagine stading in the face of the 'coming storm' and having your hair and cape blowing in the gale.

Two words. St Martial.
The glow from the Golden Giza pyramid and the lights of the city can be seen from miles away and it's, I think, one of the most wonderful areas in the game.
Though, I have to say, Cimerora is beautiful. You don't need the glowing neon lights of casinos to appreciate the breathtaking views on offer there. I spent ages exploring it, if only as an excuse to take in the views as much as possible.
[/ QUOTE ]
There are some light effects, sunsets and so, that are nice, yes. I like zones of Croatoa and Cimerora, but the city not considered as a game scenario but like a real city is just an awful place. Ugly and massified. A place that I'd run away from. Oppresive. But, well, I have the same sensation when I go to USA cities...

Didn't know they had cities over there, I thought they just scattered some condos nearby freeways and used a shopping mall as city though...
Not really. My experience of US cities is wide-ranging, but tends to have been viewed from business hotels. Most US cities which actually are called cities have a fair amount of those building things.
Houston has to be the weirdest, having two 'peaks' of skyscrapers with far lower buildings set around them. Seattle is quite nice, always liked Seattle. Didn't think much of Orlando (that does seem to fit your description). Atlanta looked quite nice though I didn't get to spend much time there. Phoenix is pretty city-like, and warm... very warm... except when it's very hot.

Oh atually come to think of it weather effects would be nice....the rain in MxO was always magical.
Weather effects are among those things that have been denied which could happen. I'd have to say that, having looked into Rhode Island weather, we're going to be depressed a lot if they implement a remotely accurate weather pattern, however.

How much more depressing could their weather be than ours?

I think the brooding anti-hero types really need some rain to help with their posing in Steel Canyon at night

As long as we can get a ray of light emote that will shine down on us through the clouds, acompanied by an angelic chorus.

I was more comparing the constant sunny days and starlit nights we have in-game now to the largely overcast, rainy days and (frankly) scarily cold winters we would be getting. The daytime temperature in Providence this weekend didn't get above -3C, and it's only November!
