If I was asked for help with anything from another player, i'd like to think if I could do so I would.... and i'm damn sure anything that is asked of me would be harder than accepting an invite for 2 mins.

Well I wouldn't really know to be honest. I make so many posts I subsequently entirely forget about, usually because of work, I could well be either a manifestation of pure evil or a saint. I don't know.

Despite someone requesting not to be asked to be contacted in those situations, it's okay for you to ignore that request and ask and then get upset at the other person for either not responding or telling you to look at their search message, which you've already ignored?
I know what I personally consider the ruder of the two things.
And even if I personally am soloing, I'm playing this game. Not a console game. Not another game. I'm playing this game. The way I choose to. There's nothing in the EULA to say "YOU MUST TEAM OR ELSE."
This debate crops up here every year or so (at least). And there's always two diametrically opposing points of view who can't understand the other.

If people give a polite enough tell, they should *usually* get a polite reply saying 'No thanks' back. Unless its one of those days...
I have filled sometimes, if im waiting for things to kick off with SG members or w/e, or if Im generally idling around. If im actually wating to achieve something on the chari im on, then I'll turn it down.
If I want to play the game the way I want to play, and pay for it, how is it selfish if I play the game I want to play? (taking it as a general comment, too) If anything, saying that not playing the game a way you dont want to is WRONG, is more wrong than not helping. You cant make people do things they dont want to do. Theres names for that =3 fair point? But yes, theres no reason to not be polite.
Unless the tell involves "Fill,lolz!!111"...

What do you think people do when they're not on a team? Just stand around twiddling their thumbs until someone asks them to join a team. Belive it or not some people do solo at times to clear up their missions or just because they simply want to.
Tbh I think it's more selfish to pester people with tells asking to fill just so YOU can get more XP/Inf.

Its 2 seperate instances not both at the same time... I don't contact people who ask not to be, but the search coments do pss me off.
And if I do contact someone that is rude back to me for only the reason that they disagree with farming and filling also psses me off.

I am perfectly capable of understanding your point of view... I just don't understand the huge problem with it...
If we farmers had 6 accounts im sure we could fill ourselfs, but we can't.

If you are in a mission the /search will say so and you cannot be invited to a team... the only people to get /t's would be the ones that are yes,,, out a mission, not in a team, and doing nothing that filling would interfere with.

There's also the danger of doing something against the EULA - if you wre to fill for a pro PLer, who's breaking the EULA by PLing for real cash, then wouldn't that make a filler also guilty of helping break the EULA?
So if you're unsure about the person asking you to fill, it might be safer to decline, just in case you're being asked to help break the EULA.

I would never do that...
I do understand people frustration, I am only pointing out that there are a few nice farmers out there that sometimes need a fill and we should not all be tarred by the same brush...
You can usually tell from the /t you would get as i explained before.
P.s My farmer is called Kawaiii so If i can help anyone I will... and i would expect other to treat me just as pleasantly.

What attitude? Why is soloing bad? Am I bad when I'm duoing or trioing? Or when I join a random group because I'm in the mood for it?
And if I need help, I'll ask for it from someone on the Global channels I'm part of. But I won't go "Even though you have asked me not to, I DEMAND THAT YOU MUST DO WHAT I WANT."
Oh, and I've been in the wrong game for over 4 years now, so I think I've invested enough money in this game now to have a say in how I want to play it.

Ditto. Also, when I'm travelling to missions, I get fill requests and team invites (assuming I've forgotten to /hide.)

You can't force someone to do something they don't want to do, no matter how much you call them selfish or try to guilt them into it.
It's like asking someone who doesn't like dogs if they'll hold your dog leash whilst you go throw a frisbee for your other dog who's off the leash.

I sent a reply back "What?"
Never did get an explanation. Took me months to find out what it meant. If people are asking for something they need to be specific and remember that not everyone on the game knows the jargon, at least till they've been here for a while.

I know this to be true because.. well, put it this way: if I had a pound for every /tell I've had saying "wanna team?" or the like whilst I've been in the middle of a mission map, it would have covered my subs for the entire 15 months I've been playing.
