Itchy /ignore finger?

The only ones on my list are the inf/PL sellers.
Other than that I have not ignored anyone.
my 50's rarely get bothered, and my low levels have been lucky.
If it does become a hassle, I have plenty of alts to choose from.
Only ever had one real person on my ignore list, and he was barely tangible. The reason? Insulting everyone I know, using /petition as though it were SB and just generally being a bigheaded fool. Thankfully he shifted over to the states so my ignore list is empty now.
I did put some inf seller accounts on there when they were still a persistant nuisance but it's truly devoid of names.

I find this in particular insulting and annoys me... its a similar situation when I look at /search..
I see search comments that say "I WILL NOT FILL / FARM / PL so DO NOT ASK"
To be honest people with hostile search comments like this would encourage me to send them tells saying "fill plox" ~ lol
People forget this is a Mmorpg, if you don'y want to be contacted... go play your playstation.

There's nothing "hostile" in pre-emptively letting someone looking for a Filler or Farmer know that asking that person is a waste of time.

I can't see why some of the people on the other side of the argument, IE the people ASKING for Fillers can't just accept the fact that some of us prefer to leave our LFT status open for proper teams.

Maybe the person wants to play alone and doesn't want to team. Just because there are other people in the game doesn't mean you HAVE to interact with them.
Being on the receiving end of an unwanted fill/farm/whatever request does feel rather like receiving an unwanted sales call by the way.
If you do see a comment like that in a search then please do just leave them alone, what would you gain from antagonising them?

Simple: if I'm on a team I want to be part of the team, not just a number who's subsequently asked to leave. If I'm no use to the team as anything more than the 8th member I have better things to do with my time 
Some people are prepared to do it, others aren't, I'm one of the latter and my search comment says so.
Dont get worked up about search comments, the whole point of them is to give information; it's certainly not a personal attack or anything, just someone saying they dont want to hear from fill requests/farmers.

Pick up Group, as in a proper team running missions.
You know, the actual social way to play the game. Anyone thinking they're being "social" by asking someone to waste a few minutes of their "I'm available to team" time before kicking them again needs to reconsider their definition of social gaming.

Its not that I gain anything, It's just I hate people that look down on farming and advertise it. Makes me want to confront them...

I've absolutely no issue with someone farming on their own or in a group with people, personally I don't enjoy running the same mish over and over but hey. C'est la vie.
But Filling != Farming. And if someone looking for Fills has the decency to read and respect comments and knows that no response probably means the person isn't interested or is busy elsewhere I've absolutely no problem with them either.

It's their search comment though, they can write what they like there so long as it doesn't break the EULA. You're not going to change their mind or make them change the comment, you'll just get into an argument where you'll both probably end up petitioning and ignoring the other person.

lol, im kidding.. I like them too, and I harly ever fill... I simply get 6 people that want to farm and benefit from it so I never need ask for fillers, sure it costs me in the long run but I'd rather other benefit from my farm also.
Although it is annoying when you run the map 10 times and the lvl 7 in the corner gets the purple drop xD

All i'm saying is that people should not be adverse to helping farmers... as long as they are polite.

You are more likely to get this,
"Hi, I am farming a map.. would you like to join me for some XP and Inf or if your not busy would you fill a spot in the team for 2 mins and I will be as fast as I can mapping it, ty Donna x"
Now when I get a rude reply to that kind of tell I have a right to be pss'd off because I have put some effort into being polite and to make sure I don't offend anyone.

I've been asked to fill before by a tell very similer to this. I politly declined and got a 'thx for reply' back. But I've had 'can you fill for me?' and I said something like 'please read my search comment' and I got a 'sorry :S' back. Which I thought was nice.
No matter how polite I'm asked to fill. I wont. Simple dimple (as my sister always says). I pay my subs, you pay your subs. We both play the game how we like so why change others play stile just to please yourself?
Unless the person who wants me to fill offers to pay for my sub, it will always be no.
I also take a hard line with the "it's just the internet" excuse. It's not an excuse. Anonymity makes it easier to be a dirtbag, it does not make it acceptable. I am frequently blunt, tactless and derogatory. I expect this to be taken into account when met in person, regardless of how much nicer I actually am in person.
It's not just the internet. It's still you, and you should still be accountable for everything you do. The refusal of people to accept that there is still responsibility for your actions on the internet, even if anonymity takes away your accountability for them, simply does not compute to me.
