Storm/?
I have 2 stormie/
both built for themes....Winters Kiss - storm/ice and Autumns Kiss - storm/electric. Both play well, but as I said, i picked them for a theme. Ice is better i think, a little end heavy tho
Most likely seen playing Abigail in Black or Abigail in White
Storm is very nice when coupled with /Dark (AoE immob which does good damage, self heal and another cone AoE which does nice damage), /Sonic (-res, what else do you need to know?), /Psy (-rech capping, psy also has 2 mediocre AoEs) and /Ice (freezing rain + ice storm + blizzard, frost breath with freezing rain, you wont probably even need snow storm with this).

Ah yes, forgot to mention this one. Freezing rain followed up with Aim'd Rain of Arrows + Fistful + Explosive Arrow is going to deal some tasty AoE damage.

Dark is the obvious choice, but I have found that Sonic is great fun to play.
Got Storm/Elec here.
For some reason, elec just feels weak. I know looking at the numbers it's almost the same damage as the other sets when compairing like for like powers. I also have an elec/fire blaster and thats the same.
One of those can't put your finger on things.
/Dark Blast combined with Hurricane debuffs ToHit so much you'll feel like a Force Fields defender at times.

I think it's what you are missing rather than what you have. You have three AoE attacks and one's your nuke - but one of the other two (Short Circuit) does less damage than Charged Bolts. In short, your AoE damage performance is mediocre at best. Against single targets you are also below average - a number of sets have a 2.12 damage scale single target attack with a shorter range (Archery's blazing arrow is slightly higher because it also sets people on fire, psy's Will Domination is slightly lower because it's psychic damage and has a sleep effect, and Ice's Bitter Ice Blast is higher because it has a recharge of 16s rather than 10 - dark is the only other set to lack this attack). You are missing the powerful attack entirely, meaning that your single target damage is low. And your secondary effects are all-or-nothing - either you've more or less wiped out your target's end bar (meaning it's not doing much) or it has a little left (meaning that it doesn't even slow down). And your primary doesn't provide much assistance with the End drain (see Elec/Elec blasters for how it can work) so the controls go to waste.
In short, you lack the highest level single target attack, you do low AoE damage, and your secondary effect simply doesn't work most of the time.
Hope that helped

My experience with Stormies is all on troller side. In my mind, Storm just works best when paired with immobs, extra stuns, knockdowns, holds, etc. My Earth/Storm is, hands down the very best Stormie I've played so far. I was hoping you guys convince me playing a Defender this time.
Any sweet combos you'd recommend? Thanks.

Hmmmmm....a defender you say? Let me think....
....I got it! How about you have the support set as a secondry set and change it to something uber like say....errrr....Rad, then combine that with an uber primary say....errrr....Fire.
In short the answer is simple - Fire/Rad trolley!
I've got a dark/storm,
I find it eay enough to use freezing rain on a mob and then hold them with tentacles so they cant run away, then using lightning storm to do damage and knockback, you can then use your single target attacks like dark blast, gloom and the like to pick off the enemies.
@FurYxUK
/Psi or /Energy for maximized knockback.

I have a storm/energy that is LOTS of fun.
Hardly an uber build, but you get to play pinball with hurricane and energy knockback
