I would definitely be interested in a lower level division, both 13 and 24 sounds good to me, 24 more so then 13.

Same here.Would prolly have an SG team enter that too or two even.We defo having two teams for Heavyweight anyway.

I'd love if there was a "no 50s" rule for the bantamweight matches. Even if enhancements are toned down to the level, purples' set bonuses are quite remarkable compared to anything else on that level. (ie. the system evens out all other enhancements in automatic exemplaring by dropping set bonuses and lowering the effectivity, but purples are an exception by being way more powerful to begin with and by keeping their set bonuses).
Also, getting a new toon to lv 12 isn't beyond anyones' capability.

If i was to run a lowbie event i feel that IO's would unbalance this event. So as such for anyone wanting to enter this league i would have to say no set bonuses for this division in spirit that this is a fun league for casual players and Pros but more aimed at the casual players and as such i want it to be as level playing field as possible. Also players could play in both leagues. I'll be looking into the level as soon as i can. (Patching at the mo so probs be this evening unless anyone can give me a break down of levels and level names?)

Well, the low-level IOs (ones that are actually available for level 12 characters) are hardly unbalancing, but allowing them would lessen the need to make specific origin characters to get the right Yin Origins and grinding positron for SOs (we did this for S4 on Army of Lovers). If done on level 22+, having plain vanilla SO builds for everyone sounds quite good.

Yes! I just reactivated my account because the orginal S4 bantamweight was *so* much fun. Seriously, it was the high point of my CoH career, even though we lost horribly.

Sounds appropriate. You wont be able to control between SO's and IO's but you can definitely prohibit any kind of sets for that division which sounds good for casual players and pvp newcomers.

Seriously, like everyone said bantamweight was so much fun last time that you'd be stupid not to run it. Plus it means that people who wouldn't normally even consider pvp might enter. Disallowing set bonuses would make this even more attractive to non-pvpers as well.

Well we know from the last tournament that the GMs have the ability to look at what enhancements you have slotted since duping HOs for the final on test wasn't allowed. I guess this is pretty much the same thing.
I haven't read the whole thread but I think it'd be silly to run a bantamweight bracket for characters higher than level 21. It's not hard to level a character to 21, even if you level REALLY slowly it can't take you more than a week or two. Having said all that, if set bonuses are disallowed for bantam I'd be suprised if anyone entered with anything other than a custom-made and levelled team.

Yeah, on the one hand. On the other hand, maybe that's exactly why casual players don't like pvping. I thought bantamweight last time was so popular because it was exactly like pvp normally isn't.
