"Damzy" Day

On sunday 13 july , damz was late for the hero games summer skyway dash and cossy comp. many people trashed him and so did i, but hopefully we can all fix it toghter and show him how much we miss him.

He never showed for the Skyway race and doesn't appear to have posted since Hope he's okay

It doesnt suprise me that someone could have to put a real life situation above a computergame. It also doesnt suprise me that people then got in a big uproar and 'trashed' the guy as if it were a real event not a computergame. And it doesnt suprise me that whatever real life situation Has come up to keep this guy away, he doesnt feel the need to let every Tom, Dick and Harry know where he is or how long he'll be away! Just leave it be!

But the apologies are a good call, you all should be ashamed of yourselves!! Its a game!!

Maybe this will be a good time for whoever was whining "The Super-Games was myyyy idea .. blah blah blah" on Union Chat to actually take the baton and run with it!!

Hey all, suppose i best explain my reasons.

Yes i am going to stop raising funds for the summer games firstly (for the reasons i'll state now) and i did ask a few people to spread the word that i had left the game (btw i only asked them to do this INGAME, not on the forums), but really i was globally hidden on new characters which only 2/3 people knew about.

Now while i appreciate that i did indeed set up the event myself and got all the groundwork done for it, i could not help not being there. As some of you know i had one of the worst weeks that week, had just split up with girlfriend, a couple of really good mates had just moved away and my name had just gotten put forward for a promotion. So obviously i needed to prioritse my life.

I HAD to go out with my mates to try and be cheered up and god bless them they did just that (laughter is always the best cure) and to try sort out my career while now being able to look for my own place due to an increase in wages.

Now when i logged in that sunday 2 hours late to appologise to everybody and say i'ld hold it on the day best for everybody that week . . . . . i came on to a TON of abusive /tells and emails from a lot of people.

I knew i deserved some of that but nowhere near the amount i received. I had just raised in the last 5 - 6 weeks aprox 400 mill to GIVE away and because i prioritised my happyness/wellbeing first i felt like i got slammed for it.

There thats the reason and GR can you delete this thread and the summer games one now please (on a side note to the people on my global i'll be unhidden from now on because due to the worst bug ever it wont let me team without an auto crash if im partially hidden )

damz dont worry about the event m8 i was there on sunday and not many turned up i know how much hassel you went through to make all the inf and that m8 and to have it thrown back in ur face isnt nice when u hold an event or comp n ppl throw it right back at u for ur decision.

if my tells i sent u m8 sounded abusive i didnt mean them to u know me im just ere for a laugh n dont mean anything abusive

ppl lately are just seeing it as easy money money and arnt willing to wait for it so dont worry about it m8, you know i have your back 100% n always will

Sorry too hear what happened too you. Thought it might have been an RL situation that took you away from the game.

For myself i blame microsoft... and their little security update that somehow blocked my internet that weekend.. grumble.

Damz will still get the "ACE" Badge from me for his efforts in creating a fun event for all.

Hey Damz,

It's saddening and annoying that you got all of that abusive stuff. At times some people forget why real life is called REAL life and I hope yours takes an upward turn soon.

I was one of those that turned up for the race and even though it ended up being a "non-event" I did enjoy the build up to the race and the race itself was very entertaining.

So thanks for sticking your head above the parapet to set it up even if it did not turn out how you wanted it to. If more people did this sort of thing more often then we would all have even more fun playing this game.
